Good Morning Everyone and Happy Saturday!

Well you know I could not sleep in more than one night...and it as called utter exhaustion that I just collapsed! So true to form....here I am!!!!

Looks like the weekend is shaping up for a lot of us. Fun things planned....like SD lunch...the rockin Inland Empire support group with Miss Luana at the helm!!! People out enjoying the  spring weather...oh yeah and some of us will be doing that nasty word called....CHORES!

I came home yesterday and cleaned my entire house from top to bottom....always fun after a days work and a windy weekl Sand everywhere....we do not get dust per se.....very few dust bunnies.....just lots of sand!

Today I am having a suprise birthday party for my son. He is so clueless to it at this point and it worked out perfect to do it after the actual day because it threw him off! I am expecting around 35 people... and I usually get all titterpated, but this time instead of doing everything myself, I actually asked for some help from my son's inlaws. So today all I have to do is make James his favorite cake (a chocolate sourcream/raspberry torte) and through the hors douvers (creative spelling LOL) together.....decorate....stress some more....you know the drill.

On a side note, his bio father came to town and that was supposed to be a surprise for him also today. However true to form, the sperm donor wrecked the surprise. I am going to be friggin mad as hell if he tells him that there is a party today. So if you hear that I was arrested, you will know why!

I actually ended my week at school having a blast in one of my classes demonstrating and then letting the students do a hands on trial on the potters wheel. Who did they change their minds and stopped saying it was so easy! I called my principal in so he can see where his money is going....as he never comes in my class to see what we are doing, but always makes comments on the final products. JERK!! hhehehehehehehhehe

Keep the prayers rolling for Groove Daddy's sister....what an awful way for Gene to find out that there is a chance of her having cancer.....Gene if you read this....best to her and a speedy recovery and a happy birthday to your twins!

Jodi....girl I am going to have to come over there and sit on you!!!! I worry so much about you and your health. I hope that you can get things balanced out right...and to stop taking your thyroid is a huge NO NO!!! I am going to send positive vibes your way...YOU ARE IMPORTANT and we want you to get better!!!

Becky I hope so too that your hernia friends behave and you will not have a hard time on your cruise....just think positive for sure! And yes I was talking about you!

Steve I do hope that today brings you some relief with the pain. I know Jeff was hurting bad there after the fact, but was back to work in a week....moving slow, but did it! Just take it easy baby bear!

Diane....are you feeling okay today? That heart thing is scary girl! Good on you too with the stairs....OMG you are super woman like I said...I can barely do your stairs!

Chris you also have a busy weekend.....just take care of that back girl.....don't get it more inflammed so you won't be incapacitated.

Monica P..I think it is so exciting for you that the scale is moving in the right direction now.....I knew it would only be a matter of time!!

Stacie O....does the meds you need to take for this h pelori thing mess with you? I am not quite understanding. Don't wait too long...you don't want to make anything more severe girl! And social engagements? WooHoo does that mean a date in the horizon????

Mary Louise...OMG you are nuts girl with a bunch of screaming kids birthday party....adult ones are bad enough for me! LOL

Miss Shells....get all that pampering in and good on you for dumping all the larger clothes...that shows committment to your wls!

Catt...you need a break from all the studying girl! Good luck with your upcoming tests and have fun on your date.

Katt...how are you holding up? What a crap week for you....just remember another door should open for you and have loads of fun today in SD.....you and Karla had better not get into too much trouble!

Shell are you just busting at the seams waiting to get yourself on the losers bench? I wish I could offer you tips on protien powder, but I never went that route.

Christine....have a blast this weekend at the SD lunch and whatever else you do! You deserve to have some fun!

Jean you going to see Cher eh? I bet she puts on an awesome show! I have never been to a live act in Vegas. I am going there the 7th of June for a wedding...but I am not a real Vegas type of person either. I am not much of a gambler...thank gawd really because there are so many casino's out here!

JudyAnne...how have you been doing on the pouch thingie? I have not heard you report on it!

Deb S....good on you with that incrediable wl this week!!! You're shrinking away!!!

Kim get out there and enjoy that park today or the beach....I have never been to Griffin Park...looks beautiful..it was on the news with concern of high fire danger this season.

And Kim aka Madame Butterfly....have seen you much around...is everything okay?

Also please do not forget Lori C and her family with your prayers....they can still use all they can get in the prayer department!

LU LU have a great support group meeting today and know I am there in spirit!

And on a final note.....I turned a corner for a major wow moment for me....I bought my first pair of single digit sized pants...now I seriously never thought I would see the day I could fit into a pair of 8's. I know that not all 8's are going to fit me ever...but that is a major accomplishment for me! I am happy just being a 10 right now....but an 8 was a real shocker!!

Good morning Janine and all my cali buds Well I am up early this morning because little miss Sydney (one of my fur babies) decided to start meowing at 3:45 - whats up with that....well I had to get up to wee wee and could tell I was up for the day.....oh well This weekend is kind of a fun one for me....going to a friends 60th birthday party today - and there are going to be lots of people there I haven't seen in a long time so it should be fun to see their faces when they see me - does that sound to conceited?  To bad, I love when people are shocked....Then I am headed off to Torrance after the party to visit with my BFF, spend the night with her and then on Sunday we have one of our fun craft workshops to go to.  I always have such a great time when I am with her... Yes Janine - going to see Cher should be great - from what I have seen on tapes of her live shows she really ROCKS....I am pretty darned excited to see her.  we were also supposed to see Barry Manilow but they ended up cancelling the night we were going to and the only other night we could have gone was the same night we have the tickets for cher.  Guess Barry will have to wait till next year.  We (my sister and her BFF and me and my BFF) go every August, kind of an annual tradition thing.    I love Vegas and unfortunately I love to gamble too - hence why I only go once a year. After going to Pechanga and also going to one of the winerys on the way home in Temecula I want to go there for a couple of days and stay at the Temecula Creek Inn and do one of the wine tasting tours..... Ok well - I just heard the coffee finish so I guess its time for me to get me a cup and go watch my Big Brother after dark show that I DVR'd last night.... Have a great weekend and Janine I can't wait to hear if the party was a great big success and a big surprise. Well, the results from the biopsy are in.  They are negative.  It is recommended that she does have it removed to completely rule out Lymphoma.  When I read that I was kind of hysterical. Then I called Dr. Yadegar and talked with him and he reassured me we were ok.  She has an appointment to see the ENT dr.  on Monday at 945. I am hoping that they can put in a request to have it removed and we can do it when we come back from Cabo. As Good Morning, for today and tomorrow what the plan is ........................................... get everything ready for Cabo on Wednesday.  I need to get my hair cut and colored. I was going to let it go but it is a funny color really faded by the sun.  So it wll be laundry, packing etc.  I went looking for a new dress to wear for the wedding. They wedding next saturday is a formal event.  So I couldn't even find anything that I wanted that was affordable so I am going to wear the dress from the cruise.  You know from riding my bike the way I do I have developed some major butt and thighs. It is sure making my pants/shorts a little snug. I am having the issue with feeling like nothing fits. It is only me. Well, time to turn of the washer. Have a great weekend and enjoy the party. Hi Janine and everyone!  Oh gosh Janine, I hope the surprise works out well for you today..I've only had one surprise party in my life, my best friend pulled it off to a T, it was great, I think it was my 35th, but who can remember?  lol 

Jean, if you come back to Temecula to wine taste, be sure and try the Almond Champagne at  Wlson Creek.  Wow, it's so yummy!  I haven't had anything bubbly since surgery, and I think they really discourage it, but a taste wouldn't hurt...

Not really sure what we're going to do, the cats have been fed, but they're being finicky and looking at me like, "what's this?  you're trying to kill us!"  I opened the front door and am letting some cool San Diego air in, it's still fairly quiet outside, my fav time, quiet and cool.  Anyoozy, my reign at POTW is coming to an end, doesn't appear there were any scandals during this week, so I hope my reign will be remembered fondly.   My husband was talking about going up to the Wild Animal Park again, only if someone (who shall remain nameless) gets up pretty soon!  LOL  I'm also thinking of going to the Torrey Pines State Reserve and doing part of the Beach Walk there, it's absolutely spectacular.  I'll take some pix if I do and share.   Oh, I had a maintenance guy who works in our bldg come in and chit chat with me yesterday and he's been so sweet during my weight loss, always encouraging.  Its cute.  Anyhow, I held out my current ID badge where I'm 385 and he goes, "Wow Kim, I don't even remember you looking like that!!"  That was cool.  Ok, kids, I'm off...(as my cousins husband says, "Only a little bit!"  LOL)  Love to you all and be sure and get tha****er in!  Kim

Good morning Janine and Cali! Hope you have a blast with the suprize party and good for you to ask for help. I know how hard it can be. Keeping my fingers crossed the sperm donor doesn't blow it! WOW size 8??? You are amazing GF! Sam took Sammi and I to the grocery yesterday so I won't have to try to do it today. I'm scared to lift anything and probably shouldn't be driving. We were out for not quite two hours - Walmart, Albertsons and dinner and let me tell you, when we got home I was DONE. Today, Sammi's grandparents are going to come get her in a couple of hours so I can rest. Tomorrow is a birthday party for one of her little classmates. I'm going to see if someone will take us. I just think I need the help right now. The stent comes out on monday and I suspect recovery will really start then. I did have a little WOW moment in the hospital. The nurse was asking questions and one of them was have I had any other surgery. When I said gastric bypass, she looked at me over the top of her reading glasses and said "you must be pleased" So simple but let me tell you, it felt good! Ok, Sammi is getting crazy with the mouse, must be time to wrap it up. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Sue

Morning.... Just stopping in real quick-like.  Mike is upstairs snoring away, but all of our kids have been up for over a half an hour.  True to form for them.  Can hardly every sleep in!  But, I am enjoying hearing Mike snore....never thought I would say that! Our little guy has his first t-ball game this AM and that should be interesting and worth quite a few laughs and then not sure what is on the schedule for the rest of the day.  Just enjoying our time together before that early morning drop off to the airport on Monday.....  Trying not to be all weepy and upset and just laugh and have a good time, but it is kinda hard. Good Morning and Happy Saturday to everyone!    It is quite overcast, damp and chilly this morning here. A big change from the last five days which dawned sunny, clear and full of sunny promise. The weathercasters predicted this so I am not surprised but am sorry the late spring "June gloom" days have arrived.                    Good luck with the surprise party today Janine. I know you will have a great event and all the guests will have a wonderful time! You are an excellent host girl so try to relax and enjoy it yourself.                  I'm learning that I do not like getting up in the mornings right now. The Vicodin has worn off overnight and it hurts to get up and move around. I've been up about an hour and took a Vicodin before I got out of bed so feel OK now but the first part of my morning is a pain... literally!        Other than that, the recovery seems to be progressing as it should. I was able to finally take a shower yesterday and that really seemed like a treat and was a pleasure.            Nothing much on the agenda at the Jacobsen-Waterman household today. D will be helping at the support meeting and I think some gardening (for him!) later today plus he will be doing all the chores around here this weekend without my help. Guess I should feel a bit guilty, and truth be told I do, but it ain't in the cards for me to do much of anything right now. I really can't believe how unrealistic I was thinking this surgery was going to be a walk in the park! Silly Bear!    Time to refill the caffine so I will say bye for now and wish you, and all the Cali Crew, a great day Janine!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE OFFER TO COME SIT ON ME AND STRAIGHTEN ME OUT, BUT I JUST DON'T SEE THAT SKINNY LIL SIZE 8 REALLY DOING A WHOLE LOT OF HELP.. BUT THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN. I THINK I AM STARTING TO AT LEAST GET MY THOUGHT PATTERN STRAIGHTEN OUT. MY ULCERS ON THE OTHER HAND IS A WHOLE OTHER SUBJECT. IT WILL GET BETTER I'M SURE.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ON GETTING DOWN TO A SIZE 8, JUST GOES TO SHOW US THAT OUR TOOL WANTS TO WORK IF WE JUST PLAY ALONG.  I DREAM OF THE DAY I CAN WEAR A SIZE 12 OR 14... SIZE 8 JUST MAYBE OUT OF THE QUESTION, BUT I'M NOT GONNA GIVE UP ON IT.

GOOD MONRING!!  I am trying to stay in a happy, smiley mood all morning even with my kids up at 6am FIGHTING ALREADY!!  But if I lose my cheer now I may just not make it through all those kids today.. lol  Good luck to you Janine on your surprise party.. Sounds like you put a lot of work into this and I do hope it turns up the way you wanted.  I know how those baby daddies can be..lol they do tend to ruin a lot of surprises on this side as well.. OMG Size 8.. That is awesome.. I don't think I will ever be a size 8 or that I was ever a size 8 in my life.. maybe as an infant..lol .. Wear them proudly!!   For all those going to the support meeting to day.. have a great time.. :( It's been a few weeks since we had one in this area.. well since Kristy threw together that fabulous park pot luck..I just love visiting with my OH buddies..
