I met Jaime AND my interview went well! Yay!

The last twenty-four hours have been so fun!   First I met Jaime for dinner in Monterey!  Jaime, you are awesome!  We had so much fun with you!   (my friend Shawna loved you, too!)  I could sit and talk to you for hours!  I can't wait to go out and party with you when I actually make the move!  And guys, Jaime looks AWESOME!  She is so tiny, but does not realize it yet!  I just hope that I look that good 8 months out! Sorry, some of this will only make sense to Jaime, but I'm so excited I want to tell everyone! Then my friend and I drove like maniacs (not really, we were safe!) all over the Monterey highways to make sure that I knew how to get to both Ryan Ranch & CHOMP the next morning (and the tip about Munras for the mall was awesome Jaime!  It took us right there!) And then the interview went really well!  Cathy at Hospice is WONDERFUL!  I couldn't imagine working for a nicer person!  And she seemed to really like my experience, and kept saying things like "So you are going to work with Eva..." as if I already had the job!  Then I went over and met with Lisa at HR (I mentioned you Jaime, and she totally knew you and thinks you're great!), and she is SO nice!  In addition to giving me all the info, she reassured me that people think Monterey is more expensive than it really is, and it's absolutely feasible for a single person to live there.  She was so encouraging and supportive! I took the tests (Word, Excel, and Access), and of course I had to take the Excel one twice!  It was so hard!  I thought that since I know Access pretty well Excel would be a breeze, but NO!  But I passed them all!  After I took the tests Lisa said she had talked to Cathy and they wanted to move forward and run my background check and talk to my references.  And with the recent pay adjustments, the pay meets my needs, especially since the health coverage is FREE!  (For people with no dependents)  You were right Jaime, the benefits are awesome! Of course, it's not a done deal, but it's looking good!  I know my references and background check will be good, but they may also be looking at other applicants.  But all in all, I couldn't have asked for it to go better!  I might actually get to move to Monterey!  I'm so happy!
