This morning I got a text message from a friend who is also doing the Disney Half Marathon with me. He told me I was an "athlete".  I wanted to print out the text message and post it in my cubicle.  I never thought I would be considered an athlete.  Crazy....

After a few weeks on my thyroid meds I notice the scale is starting to move. I'm actually excited to weigh-in now because the number is getting smaller each time. Well this morning I got on my scale and it didn't work! It's broken!!  It's a scale-*****'s nightmare!!

I'm clearing out of town, not sure where I'll go. I just want to get away from the Grand Prix, it's loud and creates a mess of traffic.

Good morning janine and Cali! Thanks for the recap Janine, So much happening in OH land this last week. Well, silly me thought I would be able to go back to work today....NOT. I called my boss late yesterday afternoon and let her know, no way! The pain from the stent is awefull. I think today may be a little better, I didn't have to get up in the night to take pain meds like I did the night before. I'm also going to give a call in to the DR as I think there is more blood in the urine than there should be. I don't know,so I'll ask. I don't suspect I really start to feel o****il the stent comes out. Tomorrow is more recovery. Maybe see if my Mom will take Sammi and I to the grocery store. Sunday, Sammi was invited to a birthday party that I hope we can make it to. I'm not going to pu**** though. Hope you all have a good TGIF!! Sue

I have my son's birthday party and our Church's District assembly tonight and tomorrow morning, just hours before I will be surrounded with 35 screaming, hyper, energetic children.  Oh my what am I getting myself into..lol I am off in a rush but wanted to drop my hellos to you all.. and wish you a great and glorious Day!!  (((HUGS)))

Happy TGIF my Cali friends,      Thanks for the shout out Janine, my back has been better for the last couple of days- it takes a couple of days of not doing anything to get better- and boy is that hard for me!! Not that I would wish this on anyone but gessh sometimes I think why couldn't this of happened to someone who actually LIKES to sit around or lay down and watch Tv all day?  My passion is gardening and I just can't do what I use to but I still do a fair amount when I can!     Today is shopping for a B-day present for my nephew whose party is on Sat, and then my grandson  is being baptized on Sunday so I need to pick up his gift also- needless to say a busy weekend!!    My heart has been heavy all week with the news of Kristy- it is just soooooo sad.  I can't even imagine what her family is going through.  I think of all the work she put into her journey for it to end like this? I don't believe I ever talked to her but I remember her pretty face when I saw her post a few times.  I pray the family can find some peace.      I hope all of you have a great and SAFE weekend!    Chris

Morning, Well I have already had a heck of a morning here.  I get those stupid heart problems every so often and this morning was one of them.  Now I am fine.  Geesh I hate waking up feeling crappy.  As for my knees, my back was so bad this week, that I skipped therapy.  I will be there for the next 3 weeks and then I am done.  My knee is getting stronger.  I can now walk up the stairs one leg at a time, alternating, which is something I have not done for 5 years.  Life is getting back to normal, and I am managing to be cranky again.  No more Miss Nice Girl to the family.  I still use the cane once in awhile, I use it just incase I lose my balance which does happen.  Last thing a knee replacement patient needs is to fall down, right Celest?  She knows all too well what a pain in the knee these surgeries are. For the weekend for me, I don't know, I was thinking about doing some painting around the house some, spruce it up some, now I am thinking no.  Why, just relax and enjoy the weekend.  I don't know.  Guess I will find out on Monday what I did this weekend Have a great day everyone, and yessssssssss it's FRIDAY! Woohoo congrats on the stairs one leg at a time that was the best thing for me, I had not done it in like 7 years when I did it the first time it is amazing to me everytime I do it now.  And you are right falling is the last thing we need. I am so picky about shoes and how I walk even now. There is no way I am messing these puppies up.  Big hugs, Celest

GOOD MORNING JANINE

I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO GET SOME SLEEP. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET BETTER. WOW WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE CROHNS AND ULCERS CAN BE.

I WAS RATHER OUT OF IT AND FORGOT TO TAKE ALL MY MEDS FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS AND IT STARTED A SNOWBALL AFFECT.

THE DR. ALL BUT FAINTED WHEN HE FOUND OUT THAT I WASN'T TAKEN ANY OF MY MEDS ESPECIALLY MY THYROID AND THE MEDS FOR MY ULCERS AND CROHNS. I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED ON WHAT TO TAKE AND THEN WHEN THE CO PAY FOR THE ONE MED HE WANTED ME TO GET WAS $150 I SAID FOR GET IT, WAY TO EXPENSIVE.

THE PHARMACY CALLED THE DR.'S OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES TO TRY TO GET A MED THAT WAS LIKE THE ONE HE WANTED BUT WAS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE. THE OFFICE NEVER CALLED BACK. SO IT WAS A MONTH WITH OUT ANYTHING.

WELL WITH OUT TAKING ANY MEDS EVERYTHING FROM THE CROHNS TO THE ULCERS STARTED TO BLEED. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY I FELT LIKE I WAS DYING A SLOW DEATH. DR. TOLD ME THAT WITH OUT THE THYROID I COULD HAVE KILLED MYSELF. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. HE TOLD ME I WAS TO NEVER EVER EVER STOP THAT MED AGAIN AND MADE ME PROMISE, SO I DID. 

I WASN'T AWARE THAT THE THYROID MED REGULATED SO MUCH IN THE BODY. THAT EXPLAINS THE RISE IN MY BLOOD PRESSURE AND THE OTHER MORNING I COULDN'T GET OUT OF BED. PHYSICALLY COULD NOT. MY ARTHRITIS WAS SO BAD THREW OUT MY ENTIRE BODY AND I WAS LIGHTHEADED AND BLURRED VISSION. EVERYTHING WA****TING ALL AT ONCE. I HAD NOT EVEN HAD A PROTEIN DRINK IN A WEEK AND DIDN'T REALIZE THAT MY FOOD INTAKE WAS ALMOST NOTHING ALONG WITH MY FLUID INTAKE. I WAS JUST KIND OF FLONDERING AROUND FOR 2 WEEKS. WHEN I WENT TO THE DR. ON MONDAY WE GOT THINGS STRAIGHTEN OUT. I STILL DON'T LIKE PAYING $80 A MONTH FOR ONE MED. CONSIDERING THAT I AM ON 17 MEDS, SO MY PHARMACY BILL IS LIKE THE NATIONAL DEBT.

I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN I STOPPED TAKING MY MEDS. I AM VERY GOOD ABOUT TAKING MY MEDS AS I KNOW THEY ARE NEEDED TO SURVIVE AND I HAVE BEEN ON THYROID SINCE I WAS 9 YEARS OLD.

OH WELL I AM BACK AND GETTING BETTER. THANK GOODNESS.  SORRY TO HAVE TAlKED YOUR EARS OFF. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I'M NOT TALKING REG. LOL

Hi ! Thanks for including me in your call out!  I have not started the H. Pylori meds as I am waiting til the 27th to begin them due to some social engagements. I am really concerned about the med regimine.. but oh well! Have a great weekened! It should be roasty toasty out there in the desert : )

Happy TGIF  Janine and Cali crew!!  Was that Becky in your post, me? How sweet of you to call me out on that! I'm really trying to be more a part of the Cali board and have actually been here more than the main board lately. shhh, don't tell them!  I had a rough week with these alien *****es in my tummy but it looks like they calmed down now. I think I had a blockage that worked it's way out and I was pretty scared for awhile. After all, I do leave on my cruise Thursday and I can't be having hernia repair surgery right now, HELLO!!! lol Pray for me that they behave till we get back, then I can have surgery!!  I'm very excited getting ready for the cruise! It's finally starting to sink in that I'm going on a cruise (thanks to a great OH friend!!)!!  So, I'm looking forward to our SD lunch tomorrow, we always have a great time. I'm really looking forward to meeting Kattitude and giving her a much needed big hug!!!  Then Sunday and Monday will be cleaning and getting ready for Sally(annoyinglizard) to get here Tuesday and she is sleeping on my couch which is buried under clothes right now! Got to get through all these clothes because I know Sally can wear some of them!  Exciting stuff coming up, but still taking the time to pray for my Cali friends that need it right now!! I feel terrible for Kristy's family. I didn't have the priveledge of getting to know her, but she must have been special! Such a tragic loss!!! Her family is in my prayers!  Kudos to all that deserve them this week and prayers to all who need the extra support!!! It was a busy week for sure, both good and bad! I'm so glad to have the support of such wonderful people like you all in my life!!!  Have a great weekend everyone!!!   hugs and love, Becky
