Kristy's Services and a message from Boogie.
I just got word from Boogie, Kristy's long term boyfriend, that services will be Thursday and Friday of this week. Jenn just posted information on that. Boogie sent me the following message and I wanted to share it with you:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
krissy loved all her friends at obesity help. she loved making new friends so much. and everyone there were so good to her. i thank you all so much for that and for all the support i've gotten from all of you. i am so heart broken right now, krissy was my everything,my true soulmate. i am such a mess. i am so lucky i still have my four kids cause they are the only thing keeping me here now. if anyone would like to donate anything it would be much appreciated, krissy"s income was half our income now since i've been waiting for knee surgery and we've been barely getting by. i'm so scared we'll lose our home and i need to try to keep it for our kids.
i would also like to to bring up the problem of perscription medication to you. so maybe there could be something posted on the board about it. some sort of post surgery help. before surgery alot of people had an addiction to eating. when that goes away they still have that addictive personality. post surgery is a hard time for everyone and the medications post surgery need to be monitered so that there does'nt become an addiction to them. they are very dangerous. and i dont want anyones familly to have to go through this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please, please take what he says to heart. Kristy had an addiction to prescription meds that caused her and her family a lot of pain and heartache. Boogie doesn't want any other OH family to have to deal with what they are dealing with now. My heart just breaks for him and the children.
In lieu of flowers, I am going to go ahead and give any donations to Boogie directly to help them with living costs and funeral expenses. I have had a few donations come thru already. If anyone else would like to contribute, please let me know as soon as possible. You can paypal me at [email protected] or email me for my mailing address. I would like to have the money to give to Boogie on Friday at the services, but will deliver any mailed checks or contributions to the home if they arrive late as well.
Please continue to keep Kristy's family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
xoxoxox,
Marta
Thanx for the update Marta...I wish I could be at the services, but that's a long drive. We all appreciate what you are doing to help Krissy's family.

Thanks for taking this on, love. And thank you for posting Boogie's words. They are very powerful and an incredibly sober reminder of the dangers that can happen with prescription meds.
Love you....

Thanks Marta for doing this.
Boogies words just break my heart. My own Grandmother went to rehab at the age of 90 to get off prescription drugs. She had 3 different Dr's prescribing meds to her and after years they finally caught on. She was a new person after Rehab even at the age of 90!
I just sent you a donation via PayPal. I know it's not much but hopefully enough people will give what they can to help Kristy's family get through this very sad time.
Take Care,
Susan
