The doc says

My blood test came back positive for H. Pylori. This could signify a past or current infection. I have NO stomach symptoms.. no gas, no abd pain,  (what I have is more muscular and off to the sife) no vomitting, etc. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the prescribed medication for this bacteria. Its a 14 day treatment of 2 antibiotics and antacids.  I am very hesitant to take something when i have no symptoms.. I have searched the internet and read of people who developed stomach pain, rawness, ulcers POST meds..  since the bacteria lives in the stomach lining.. the antacid stuff is suppose to treat the lining, etc.. uh am I wrong to think this wont help since my tummy is sealed off??  So anyone have any history?? Suggestions? 

Stacy This works systemically and not topically. It is also known as a prevpak.  It does help eradicate the hpylori.  Hpylori is the ulcer that can cause ulcers.  So They is why it is important to treat it.  You had the right upper quadrant pain. The abd is a strange area as the pain that you had could also be a referred pain that you posted about the other day.
