Good Monday Morning Gang!

Good Monday Mornng Gang....wow did this weekend slip by a little too fast or what? I almost feel pissed that I have to g back to work already. I know these next 2 months before school is out is really going to drag on by for sure!

It was a bit of a warm weekend here in the desert and I think for pretty much everyone around the state too! We officially popped the over the century mark here yesterday coming in at a whopping 101 degrees. Although warm....not killer as our dew point is so low. We had the central swamp on for a while, but I made Jeff turn it off because I got too cold.

And yes for those who encouraged me about hopping on the motorcycle, I did! Now you wanna talk about hot....yep it was hot on the bike. I rode down the 1-11 and came home on the freeway...surprised Jeff that I got on the freeway, but hey....gotta get back out there eh? It was good!

Two things...what did you all do this weekend? Did you get to get out there and soak up some vitamin D? Second....what is on your agenda for this week?

I know I have my thoughts with Rissy as she rolls into surgery this week and becomes a member of the Losers Bench.

I hope that Sue gets some relief from those gawd awful kidney stones.

Steve finally gets relief from the ache of his hernia....YAY!!!! Now I just wish Becca could  get the same relief....she suffers way too much with those nasty hernia's.

I know there are serveral of you that are on, going to start....you name it somewhere inbetween who are doing the 5 day pouch test.....WE ARE ALL THERE TO SUPPORT your efforts. We/I are very proud of you!

Me so wondering where Miss Jodi is.....what is going on Jodi....I miss your prescence.

Jean....out riding that bike this weekend. Do you feel better? How did the estate sell go? Find any goodies for yourself?

Chris....you're by far very kind with your words....and that is what makes you the special person you are. I hope that your back is settling down somewhat...it is so diplitating sometimes.

Christine....I think you need to be swept away for some fun!!!! You're always too busy...and I think you just plain need some fun gf!

JudyAnne...did you have just a big blast for your birthday? OMG how cool your daughter would come back from AZ just for you...shows what kind of mother/person you are.

Stacie O....hope you are not in too much pain still and the docs figure out what is going on with you!

Liz....thinking of you....and where are the pics of Lindsey's prom? Was that not this weekend? We are dying to see the most beautiful girl at the ball!

LuLu....would you please cheer up? You are not bouncing off the walls enough for me! Loved your story of meeting the man. Seniors are so full of great stories eh? I am sure you brought a lot of joy to his day.

JenDenni...good to hear that you are going to get away for a few days...yeah you need a change of scenary after all the stuff you have been going through lately!!! I love Monterey.....the aquarium is lovely!

And what about THATKIMGIRL?????? She is our newest member of the CENTURY CLUB!!!! Kim great work and I could not be more thrilled for you!!!

Darlene...wow you sure were industrious this weekend!!! I think you hit the nail on the head about your neighbor in some respects. I am so rooting for you for all the things you are going through and that you will come out on top!!!

Are we all wondering what Miss Vicki and Mike are up to? Yeah those lovebirds are definitely having a party. I am dying to hear how the Vicki's kids reacted to seeing their daddy!

Good Morning Janine and Calif Friends!  I hope all is well with everyone.  Gosh Janine, I don't know how you do it, you remember what's going on with everyone!  Kudo's!  hehehehe  My memory is so bad it's hard to remember what's going on with myself sometimes... Well, I didn't do too much this weekend.  Cleaned the house, walked the dog, and my DH took me to dinner Saturday night to PF Changs...very nice! I took 2 long naps both days.........I don't know why I always feel tired.  I know I sleep too much but in any event, it felt good! It was warm here but nothing like what you had Janine!  I think it only got to 89-90 degrees here and was too hot to handle.  lol   Well you all have a great day.........I hope the Monday Morning Blues don't get ya!  It's just another day closer to Friday! OMG today is my 12 then I am off  for 2 days. Gosh do I need it after yesterday. WOW did then work me like a dog yesterday. But that day is over and its time to think about today.

Good morning all . . . I don't post much - but I'm always lurking.  My weight loss has been SLOW (I'm lapband) . . . and I'm stressing to the limits with having my son's family living with me in my tiny house - so rather than gripping and complaining I just check out the boards most the time.  I am SOOOO needing to get on my cruise to Alaska next month - my busy season at work is winding down, our national "redesign" of the admin positions has been completed - and I at least still have a job, so that's a good thing (I've been with my job for over 17 years) - and I just need some time to chill with peace and QUIET :D  I love my grandbabies too - but with I could turn down the volume sometimes! :D Have a good one everyone! Good morning Janine and all my cali buds I hade a very nice weekend.  The Estate sale on Friday was lots of fun - but alot of junk.....I did buy myself one of those pedal thingys - its like peddling a bike whiloe you are sitting down....watching tv or on the computer or whatever.  And you can also put it on a table and use it on your arms.  I have wanted one but didn't want to shell out the money and this one was only $8 so that is what I bought.  Its kind of cool to sit and watch TV but pedal at the same time.  I wasn't out on the bike this weekend - oh wait yes I was - I went for a ride early Sat morning...duh. Yesterday I did NOTHING - NOTHING at all.  I was a total laze ball and just stayed in the house with the AC on - I am not a heat lover..... The birthday party for my great niece on Sat was lots of fun although it was p retty darn hot out in the backyard.  But it was great seeing people I haven't seen in a long time - talk about some wow moments for me.  I love seeing people Ihaven't seen in a long time - they are so shocked....it is definitely a boost to my ego...lol. Today I have running around to do to get ready for my little mini vacation to Pechanga tomorrow.  Also must get my nails and toesies done this morning as well.  I am excited to go to Pechanga as I have never been there.... Good Morning Janine! Yea, I agree, the weekend went by far too quickly! So here we are at a Back-To-Work-Monday again. Actually it could be considered my Friday too since I am working today then off on medical leave for 1 - 2 weeks. I spent a good deal of time outside this weekend working in the yard. As well as taking care of a number of other things around the homestead since I won't be doing much lifting and such for a while. It was very warm all weekend here with temps around 93 - 95 both days. Felt GOOD not to be cold! What a change from pre-WLS days eh? Wishing you, and all the Cali Crew a great day Janine!       

Hi Cali Crew, Janine--Glad you enjoyed your bike ride.  You cannot say that you did not get our Vitamin D . My weekend went well, despite dealing with stupid people and a little discrimimation in Santa Monica.  I had two highlights this weekend.   #1- I went to a running store so that they could assist me with setting my watch.  Well they did, and afterwards I started looking at their clearance rack.  I tried on this one tank top in a size medium.  After I had put the top on the counter, I went back in the dressing room to try on something else.   I closed the door and heard one of the employees tell another, "Wow, she is tiny."  You should have seen the smile that came across my face!!! #2- Saturday morning -I did another 5K.  This time it was to benefit their children's hospital.  I am happy to report that I completed the run in 45 minutes and 21 seconds.  That was 5 mins and 14 seconds faster than Santa Anita Derby Day last week.  I have to say that it was kind of imtimidating  (sp) to have all of those college kids running past me in the beginning, but I had to keep my focus by telling myself that I was there to improve my time, not to outrace anyone.  Despite all of the problems signing up and the disorganization,  I had fun and was pleased with the outcome. I had to go back and read emails I had sent to figure out the "neighbor" thing.....yep, my driveway is full of boxes and plastic bins of stuff, about 11 years worth of stuff (life).  I found my pressure cooker, dehydrator, one of many blendors, food processor, juicer, big roaster, two toasters, coffee pot, ....and like holy kow, I need to move, I have no cupboards or sink space for all my stuff, oh, and my big rice cooker and bread maker......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr All the things that make me obese......all the things that would keep me morbidly obese also. I'll let you know when I get home how stuff went this morning..... Have a great day janine.
