Jillian Michaels dvd
Has anyone tried it yet? I have ordered it and it is on its way. My sister has the free version on her on demand cable and has dropped a good 15-20 lbs from it. I heard it can really kick your butt. I just started back to calorie counting and working out every single day. I just do treadmill for about 30 min which ends up being almost 2 miles. Then on some days of the week we take our 3 dogs on evening walks as well. And to tell you the truth that alone has made me feel better if anything else. Just getting back into the whole mix of working out and eating right.
I have dropped 4 lbs this week. I want to drop about 20 to go. Since we are trying to have a baby I have more motivation too! lol Funny how that little thing called motivation kicks it up another notch.
Well hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!
Hey Deb,
Good for you for getting back to eating right and working out.
I am realizing now that I am four years out just how much work
has to go into keeping the weight off and trying to loose even
more. I am still 35 pounds from my personal goal but I refuse
to admit that I will never reach it. I am convinced that the only
way I will achieve that goal is to work my butt off.
Please let us know when you get the Jillian Michaels dvd and
how it is. I'm sure that it will be hard but I'm positive that the
reults will be great! She is so fit and strong and she always
expects a lot from her team on the Biggest Loser.
If you get a chance check out this week's People magazine.
There is an article on Jillian Michaels and Kim Lyons with
photos of them. One photo shows Jillian weighing 170 lbs
and there is a current photo of her at her today weight of 115lbs,
she is 5'2, so you can bet she worked hard to get the body she
has.

Thanks so much for responding. It seems like no one really responds when I post lol. I love the biggest loser. It keeps me on task and makes you realise where you came from yanno. I usually end up crying at the results. I will definately check out the article.
The hard thing for me about keeping things up is we never had to count calories with my surgeon. We were based on an all protein diet for the majority of the time. Then about 8 months out, I hit goal and they said well now you can slowly bring in some carbs. THAT WAS IT! So it really sucked to have never been "taught" the correct way to "maintain", the correct way to "eat" to use my tool to the best of its ability. But I have learned alot from others, and from watching shows like the Biggest Loser. So this whole counting calorie thing is TOTALLY new to me. Never in my life have I done that.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a wls college to where they teach us all how to work out and eat as we are newbies in a controlled environment like the biggest loser. Then we all go home winners. I bet it would up the score of how many successfully maintain and not gain back. I would have paid for that kind of treatment out of pocket even lol.
I will let ya know how the dvd works. My sis said the first day she did it, she almost threw up at the end bc it was so intense. But it is all stuff you can do in your living room. Comming from someone like her as a trainer, I have more faith in it than any other fitness gimmick out there.
After I figured out who Jillian Michaels was (duh me) I googled her and this is one of the things I found. I thought I would share the link in case you haven't seen this, but you probably have!!
