Gpod Sunday Morning Cali

Good Sunny Sunday Morning Cali!!!! What splendid weather we are going to have and for those who live near the ocean.....go to the beach today and stroll along the water!!

It is hard to believe last night that Kim aka Madame Butterfly, Jeff and me were sitting outside at 10 @ night enjoying the nice evening in the desert people watchng in downtown! We had this great evening and went to this new Japanese restuarant....oh yum! I do not know the name of what Kim and I had, but it was this thinly sliced beef roll that instead of traditional sushi like with rice it was rolled in a cucumber! OMG was it super fabu and it has definitely captured my tummy!!! I am so going back to that place because....OMG you can eat healthy there!

I really had a lot of fun hanging out with Kim...she is a great person and I feel fortunate to have met an OH sister out in the desert.

I really have to brag about her because she really has worked her tool to the max. She has lost 171 pounds and continues to lose and meet the personal goals she sets for herself. She truly is an inspiriation and I do not say that lightly. Kim takes this surgery and new lifestyle very serious, but not to the point that it is all she is about either. Her intelligence, wit and charm is very inviting too. Learn and listen to her, the girl has it going on!

It was 96 here yesterday....with a 5% dew point.....so needless to say our 96 was splendid. I rode around with the top down on my car only further inhancing my already good base tan....I know, I know me so bad, but  do wear block!!! I had to have the wind in my hair because I did not get to ride yesterday morning. Jeff's bike pooped out and the whole purpose of going was to ride together again. We have not since that accident. Maybe later in the morning today....nevah know!

I wanted to share with you all this metal sculpture my son (Ava's dad) made for me in the past week:

sculpture.jpg skeletor! picture by JanineJhe welded it from junk car parts he had laying around when he cleaned his garage. Some of the things he used in this welded piece is from my dad's '56 Chevy step side truck which gives it even more meaning to me! I love this kind of stuff. I want James to teach me how to weld!

So now that I have blabbered on and lost my bet with Kim as to what time I would get up and post....what do you have going on today? Anything good? Just relaxing???? Come on spill gang!

Whatever you do, have a great day and truly do something that puts a smile on your face and in your heart!

PEACE OUT!!!! Biker Babe

Good Morning Calif......

Today is work for me, so nothing planned. Its not like I have time to do anything after work anyway.

Max woke me up early today, Crying.  I think he was having a bad dream and as  I came running out to the living room he was head for me, still crying. He looked so small and scared. So just talked to him and waiting for him to calm down. He's sleeping now, like nothing happened. Snot!

OK time to get some coffee, and see if I can wake up.

Have a great day one and all.....

Janine, I love your sculpture. The fingers look so real in the picture....sort of like Terminator. Your son has great talent.. Today I am just trying to walk and survive. Yes, I did get the 10x20 storage unit cleaned out and brought over to my drive and patio. Now I just have to go thru it all and save what I want, do a lot of paper shredding and do some yard saling and freecycling. I would look in a box and get so excited at seeing things I haven't seen in 4 years. My breadmaker, two toasters, two food processors, my pressure cooker, my big roaster....I could go on and on, my only problem now  is I have no kitchen space to put them. Plus, it means going thru all the boxes to get to them. I'm going to try and set a goal of sorting at least two boxes a week, that should keep me busy for many then next year or so. My neighbor lady is Japanese, and she cooks japanese, she is 86 years old, looks 50 and is so very healthy. She grows her own tomaotes and eggplants. She tells me one of the secrets of her health and age is she eats a tomatoe every night. But, I can tell you the real truth of her young appearance, she and her husaband were never blessed with children, so she bypassed all the stress and worry of kids. Have a great day in the desert today.

Your sculpture is awesome! Love it! Not a whole lot on my plate today. Working out, then laundry....ew! Anyone want to come do the laundry for me? Didn't think so lol. That is the one chore I could do without. Other than that I am pretty much watching lifetime movies or baby shows all day . Pathetic eh!   Hubby is still working at the Prison out here as a correctional officer. But now he has finally landed a "better" shift. It has been almost two years and I was starting to wonder where my hubby went. I barely saw him lol. But now he works from 6 am to 2 pm. So it is nice to spend some good time together for a change. I figured eventually I will want a break from him, but for now I enjoy it lol. So maybe we can watch some of our netflix when he gets home. Nice relaxing day. Well I hope everyone else enjoys their sunday. Especially if you work tomorrow. Put your feet up and relax.

Good morning Janine and Cali! We managed to survive yesterday. I'll tell you, just the trip to wally world and Albertsons wore me out.  Today will be Sammi and I's usual Sunday tradition of Pancake hunting. LOL. then, we don't have anything planned so maybe we'll lather up the sunblock and head to the beach. Maybe bring the stroller and call my Mom and go for a walk. Oh, cant forget to bring Kandy dog if we're going to walk. LOL I think later this afternoon I may call Sammi's other grandparents and see if they want to take her off my hands for a while. They often take her for overnights on Sunday because then they can sleep in Monday morning. The metal sculpture is Amazing Janine! Such a talented family! I've always wanted to learn how to weld myself. Maybe James will teach me too??? LOL Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday! Sue

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Ahhh, Janine... you DID lose the bet!!! I said 2:37!

Thank you for your compliments btw...

Hey everyone, Janine looks fabulous! Kudos to her! She's working it! Keep an eye on this one... she's going places!!!

I had a great time meeting up with both yourself and Jeff last night. You guys make for a splendid couple... you're both dolls! Jeff has such a great ease about him. Yes, and Okura IS indeed excellent. I thought you'd enjoy their offerings, the selection is innovative & beautifully presented as well as delicious and healthy. And next door to Starbucks... thanks for stopping in there with me after dinner... lols...

Janine, I always take away a lot after speaking to you. Always know you're appreciated. Now, onto your son's sculpture!!! The apple does not fall far from the tree, girllllllll!!! OMFG! Art speaks volumns... I know I've never met him... but I really dig him... if he's anything like his art... he is amazing!!! It's REAL fine art!!! His intelligence surely shines through!!! And I admit I'm a REALLY picky biotch when it comes to art!!!

Hope you both are able to take your bikes out... there's no wind at this end of the valley. It's gonna be perfect weather today.

I'm gonna tidy up the house a little this morning after my java walk. Need to soak up that vit D too! Then I believe the outlets are calling my name.

Have a good one all, make it count!

XO,

Kim

Hi everyone!  Well, I finally hit the century markThis is the most I've ever lost, even when I was overweight before.  It was interesting to me, quite a few people at work on Friday stopped me (some who never had) and said, "Kim, you look great!"  I'll happily tell them what happened, I figure maybe they know someone struggling with this as well.   Anyhow, we didn't end up going to the Wild Animal Park yesterday, we had chores we needed to do, go to the bank to get a cashiers check to send to the Franchise Tax Board... Mad.  Man, it sucks that if you're married, don't have any dependants, make a decent income, but just not enough to afford a home in the SoCal (especially San Diego) housing market, you get hit badly in taxes...oh well.  Then off to Staples to get more ink for the printer so we can actually print off the tax forms from Turbo Tax...lol  Then to Costco for more of my protein drink (when did it go up??) and then lastly to do laundry.  I don't actually mind doing it at the laundromat, get it all done in one fell swoop, I hate doing it here at our complex.  I just finished my protein drink, cats are fed, and my honey just finished.   He suggested going to a local park to walk around there, it's a great park, with lakes and it's got sweet ducks, so cute!  Ok, I've yapped way too long, thanks everyone for your stories and inspiration with these first 100, here's to the next set!   Cheers xo Kim
