Everybody's stories help us all so much! Thank you!

Hi,  The psych eval was a breeze, The doc mailed me a multiple choice test to take prior to my appointment, it was about 400 questions. Dont stress, they are very easy and many are duplicate questions. He then ran them through a machine to score them and I found out I am normal (good to know). He wanted to know my past diet history, past health issues, and wanted to know if my family and friends support me in the decision to have WLS. It took about 45 minutes. No biggie.

The nutritionist just talked about diet and the food groups and serving sizes. She really did not cover much related to the WLS surgery. She also wanted to know about health issues w/ me and my family. I learned all the really important stuff about how to eat after surgery at the nutrition class at the Dr. office that every patient must attend.

I was approved for surgery from both visits. I only have to do a colonosocopy this Friday then the Dr. office can submit to the insurance for approval (I had to do a colonosocopy and cardiac stress test as I just hit 50 years old so it is manditory with the surgeon I choose that these additional tests are done).

Best of luck to you in your journey.
