Monterey roll call! (because I got an interview there! Yay!)

I work in Infection Control/Quality Management Dept. I hope you get the job! That would be so cool to have an OH sister here. There aren't 2 many people from the boards in this area. Ryan Ranch is beautiful. There are a ton of apartments in Monterey. I would try to stay away from Salinas and Marina is all right. If you can find something in Monterey, Del Rey Oaks, Pacific Grove or seaside would be ideal for you. Salinas and Marina are further away and the commute kind of sucks because of the traffic. Salinas and Marina are a little cheaper as far as the rent but by the time you factor in the gas and your time it comes out even. Check out Craigslist http://monterey.craigslist.org/apa/.  Yes CHOMP is Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. We just call it "CHOMP." Good luck and keep me posted. Salinas and Marina AREN'T that far from Monterey i used to live in salinas on Harden Parkway near target and safeway....we coudn't have pets so that's not an option for you, but it only took like 20 to 30 min to get from the CHOMP support groups to Salinas ... I too had surgery at CHOMP 2 years ago and left the area 6 months after surgery.... good luck with both your interviews Ruth Ann

DeAnna:   I am so very jealous.  I would love to live on the coast!  I hope your interview goes great.  Maybe they will offer you top dollar?  Think big with your dreams Girl!   You will surely be missed around here but I can understand wanting to move there.  I just love the coast.  It would be so much fun to get to explore the area in a non-touristy way. Thank you so much Lisa!  I will miss Modesto, but I am totally the road trip queen so I expect to be back all the time!  I've never lived anywhere but  Modesto; I've meant to leave several times, but things just kept coming up.  I hope I find something on the coast!
