Support Groups in SF Bay Area?

I am pretty new here, and have my surgery date on 5/12. I see lots of posts about get-togethers in S. California - are there any groups (formal or informal) in the Bay Area? I live in San Jose, and would love to know if there is a coffee klatch or something where I could see other OHers and get support. I've learned a lot reading the boards, but haven't really felt qualified to say anything, since I haven't had my surgery yet. But I have been warmed vicariously by the obvious love and support everyone seems to share. Thanks for letting me lurk Carol

I second the inquiry! I am in SF and have *just* started this whole process. My surgeon is in Mtn. View at Camino Group and they have sponsored a monthly support group, but it's just once a month. If nothing else, we can start our own little group. :D
