Hello CA..doctor question for you.

I have not posted on this board in a while.  About 7 months ago I moved to Clovis,CA (next to Fresno) from Santa Barbara and have been going through an adjustment. (but it is all good because I really enjoy my new job).   I recently discovered that I will have to have my lap band repaired/replaced.  My new doctor is Dr. Higa.  Are there any other of his patients on this board?  I would love to get your feedback.  From what I can tell, I really like him and am impressed with his credentials. 

Hi Joyce, I know that I've seen several people on here who have Dr Higa, I can't think of who they are, but there is also a way to go into the doctors forums thru this if you don't hear from someone, but I'm sure you will!  Anyhow, welcome back to the forum, congrats on the new job and new city!  LOL  Take good care!  Kim

Hello Kim, Thanks for the welcome.  For some reason Dr. Higa is not registered with this site so there is only limited information on the Dr. site.  I have done some outside research and like what I have discovered but it always nice to hear some first hand expereinces, the "X" factor:-) Thanks.

In order for the docs to be listed they have to pay annual fees and they are quite high. In his case, he doesn't need to as word of mouth is the best advertisement.

Your in good hands with Dr Higa. He is one of the areas best.

I am a Higa Patient.  He did my RNY Feb 12, 08.  He is a FANTASTIC  surgeon with a great bedside mannor. Good Luck! Cheri

Thanks.  There are some older testimonials that I found that did not speak highly of his bedside manner.  This seems counter to what I experienced during my consultation with him so it is good to hear from your firsthand experience:-)
