OT: question for grammar school teachers
I'm not sure this is what you are asking for, but I think this site might help you know what kinds of things are expected of your child. http://www.freudianslip.co.uk/gesell-assessment-criteria.php

Thanks so much, yep, that's the same site I found....was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. My grand daughter is being tested in May to go into kindergarten.
Our only thoughts on it is she clams up and won't talk at first to people...so we are going to try and find people she doesn't know and see if she talks and answers stuff ......can only hope, bu****ch out, once she get's to know you.....

Sometimes it does not get any better when they are older to get them to talk LOL. I hope you can get her to do so Darlene...hate to see labels attached to her young....and that does happen.

she is so very funny, she use to go days without saying a word to anyone, but would sign to us and I would have to tell her if she needed something she needed to talk to me cause I didn't know sign. Or tell her to whisper it and that would break the no talk, now she is such a character and talks all the time, IF she knows you. On one had this is good, she doesn't need to be chatting it up with strangers and people she doesn't know...but not good for this type of test to get into kindergarten....
I'm ok, I'll draft a book later and email it to you.....lol
