RNY AFTER OA-HOW

I was an active member of HOW a long time ago and was actually successful with it. It was just when I decided not to follow the program...well it was like anything else....gained.
RNY and the HOW program will fit nicely with each other to be honest. I have not since before xmas eaten any bread, pasta, rice, pototo....you name it....pretty much like HOW makes you obstain from those evil carbs.
The RNY or tool works when you work it just like program does!
I did not look to see when you are having surgery, but there is a good support group for the Inland Empire if you are intersted.....I have to go and grab the link!

I would think it is pretty much the same no flour, no sugar....go hand in hand keeping the carb monster away. The only carbs I get are from veggies and one small serving of fruit a day. I am very strict about it.
I am really excited for you having surgery in a week and a half. I am telling you if you can apply the same principals to your tool (the wls) as you did when you were full speed ahead in HOW....you are going to do super fantastic. The only thing different is that you have a built in tool that ultimately prevents you from gorging yourself. Although some have learned to eat around the tool too. It is all up to you.
The other big thing I can tell you is that you have to follow your doctors protocal no matter what. If you do not push the envelop, you will be a weight loss rock star girl. The honeymoon period of wls is critical to capitalize on and that is anywheres from 12-18 months. This is where you will lose the bulk of your weight if not all of it.
Just remember, get out here and get support. Board people and support groups as you well know are pivital no be held accountable!
