Eating Corn Tortillas
I am 7 weeks out and I get those really small corn tortillas. I crisp it nice and crispy in the oven, add refried beans and cheese and eat it like a tostada. It is small...and just the right size and I have had NO problems. NOW...flour tortillas is another story!!!
Don't do flour!!!!!

GETTING THIN...N...LOVING LIFE!!!
Well tortillas are considered to be apart of the bread family. Personally, I think the risk lies in what the tortilla can do as it swells up in your tummy. My surgeon once said put the piece of what you want in a glass of water and leave it for 5 mins to see what it does. If it swells up tremendously then make another choice. Try it and let me know.
Take Care,
Jessica
Corn tortillas are carbs and that is what you want to stay away from. Especially while you are not that far out of surgery. Open the enclilada and eat out the insides. You can have the sauce and all the cheese, but if I were in your shoes I just would forget about the carbs for awhile and get on with losing weight. You can have refried beans with cheese on top of it. The entire WL is all abou****ching the amount of carbs and eating proteins. Give it time, your tummy is still recovering too.
Good luck, Diane
Thanks to everyone for the feedback! I finally bought a SMART ONES frozen dinner with chicken enchiladas (versus going to my FAVORITE Mexican food restaurant) and ate about 1/3 cup of one with chopped tomatoes and sour cream. GREAT fix and took care of a days-old craving.
Wish meat sat in my pouch as well as that small bit of Mexican food...someday?
