Dr. George Kazantsev   510-869-8972  the staff  is awesome...DeAngela, Myra or Helen will answer the phone. His PAs are Brian and Megan...they are both wonderful as well.   My surgery went  very well...I had absolutely no pain or complications and so far after 8 weeks I am down 37 pounds.  I have not been sick at all!!   He is not the warm and fuzzy type...but his  staff makes up for that.  He is a great surgeon and  I felt that was more important than someone that would hold my hand and rub my head. Helen, Dr. K's RN came to the hospital to see me BEFORE surgery...was there when I woke up in recovery to give me my teddy bear to cough with...and visited  every single day. She too had RNY so she  knows what you are going thru because she has been there herself.  So,  even if you never see Dr. K,   you will  still have awesome care.  How are you doing with the surgery?
