Good Sunday Morning Cali

Good Morning to all of Cali this windy morning in the desert.

I actually slept in a bit this morning! I got up in the middle of the night to check on my Ava Bear, but it was a false alarm. I decided that I should just crawl back in bed. She slept a whopping 10 hours straight through!!! Ava must like spending the night at grandma's!! I took her so the kids could have an alone night. That has not happened since Sandy was in the hospital shortly after Ava was born!

Jean sounds like fun going to Pechanga....I am not a gambler per se...will drop a few bucks, but not high on my list. We have 6 casino's in my area....and I just don't go especially because I cannot stand the ciggies!

Sue.....I sure hope that stone or stones get the hell out of you soon! I know you have to be feeling not so great. Did you all have yesterday?

Pay attention gang when you read DeAnna's post about being dehydrated. You all really need to get your fluids in no matter where you are post op. With the warmer months sneaking up on us....it could be a problem.

Good on Heather Mac and Cheri for getting out there and stepping up their exercise. I know it is hard to do, but I bet soon the both of them are going to become exercise junkies for sure...kind of like Kim!

Kim you do rock and I hope you had fun shopping yesterday! Soon you re going to have to ditch all of your clothes for a new wardrobe when you have reconsructive surgery!

Lori C....OMG the pictures of Amber were awful! I am anxious to hear what animal control is going to do with the other dog. My son had a dog who attacked another dog. He had the dog putdown with no hesitation and gave the people $1000 for medical expenses. He told me yesterday that if a dog could attack another dog unprovoked...then a child or someone else would happen next...that is why he acted so swiftly about it even though it was hard to do. I hope Amber does not have to have another surgery. Prayers to her and to your dad who I hope will tolerated his treatment on Monday. How was your date too?

Monica W...I hope that you are getting some rest. I know you have lots to do with a new house and being a new mom....but you have to get sometime for yourself. Are you going back to work before the year is out or are you just going kick it until Sept?

 I bet Vicki and her family are in hog heaven with Mike home...wonder ifthey even got any slept yet? LOL  I am so happy for you Vicki!

Morning Janine and ALL!

Yep, I think I'm officially an exercise junkie as Janine calls me! lols!!! I worked out like all h@ll yesterday... these old bones are feeling it today! The elliptical is a h@ll of a workout! I was there almost two hours yesterday. I really do enjoy the sense of community in the gym.

Janine, I'm buying my clothes in VERY body conscience sizing as NOT to replace them post plastics...

I went to the Joss Stone concert at the casino last night... drove up to park and ALL the lights went out. The concert was delayed for about an hour... then towards the end... the power went out again and then a third time!!! No back-up generators... the entire casino and special events center were dark. If one were in the casino... no getting out, one would have to suffer through the billowing cigarette smoke.... cough... gasp... choke! Did see Steven Shill (reporter) there, he was sitting not too far from me.

If anyone has not heard of Joss Stone... she's a young English R&B singer with an AMAZING set of soulful pipes... oh, and ever so boho chic... the girl sings barefoot... and kudos to her band!!!

That pretty much does it... it's SO windy this morning... and the allergies are kicking up... all I see is sand in the sky. Poor Janine, you must be wind-swept!!!

Good Morning Everyone, Yesterday's 5K (Derby Day) was great.  Had lots of fun.  About three times during the race, I became very winded, so I walked    Beer tastes really good after a run/walk (that's coming from a non-beer drinker).  This morning nothing hurts and I am not sore. Good Morning Janine and Cali, Rest what might that be?  Actually its not that bad for me because I never slept alot anyway being ADD.  So the stratches I get at night with her are enough for me for the most part.  Unfortunately I am in the home stretch on maternity leave.  I will be returning to work most likely on the 21st.  I have a mortgage to pay on the money pit and projects to get completed.  So as a single mom its up to me.  But I will definitely be taking the summer off. Have a blast with Ava. Monica

Good morning Janine and Cali! Yesterday was sure windy here. We did make it down to the beach for the little carnival thing. Sammi had a blast. She got to ride a couple of rides, bounce, and go down the giant slide. We had lunch out there, then it was nap time. It was starting to get miserable with the wind stirring up all the dust and pollen. My eyes were so dry and itchy last night. It was aweful! We went out for dinner last night and we all ended up ordering breakfast so little miss pancake Sammi got pancakes for dinner last night. LOL We have a couple left over so I think I will heat them up for her this morning instead of going out.  Not much on the list today. Catch up on some house work is about it. Maybe get Sammi out to play at the park, take Kandy to run. I still don't feel very well and am trying to take it easy. I hate the feeling of living on pain meds. Oh - Janine - I can not believe little miss Ava slept for 10 hours straight! I am soooo jealous. Sammi never even slept the night until after she was 2. It must be something about sleeping over at grandma's house. Sammi sleeps better and longer and her grandparents house than she does at home.  Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Sue
