Yeah, I really did... my wife texted me while I was busy on the can... I opened my phone (LG Orange ENV) and it slipped out of my hand into the toilet... I carefully grabbed it but it was too late... I stuffed it in a beanie, then into a sock for a tumble dry and then spent about 10 minutes with a blow dryer and so far no good! SO I had my number moved back to my old phone... which means I lost most of my OH friends numbers... so text me your numbers! If you don't hear from me it's not that  I don't care... just don't have your number! Ok.. laters, and of course, C h e e r s, gene

Gene, Dude, I know how that is . I dropped my last year getting up from the potty.  I know TMI.  I blow dried it and let it sit. It eventually came back.  I did need to get a new phone cuz it kept going blank after this. Liz

Hi Liz! Yeah... I'm guessing it might come back to life by my hopes are low... if not I'll get to take it apart with my son and play with all the little pieces! I can't believe I forgot to use this image!!! C h e e r s, gene

Too funny, I dropped our home phone down the toilet last week too.  Rinse it off, then got alcohol and cleaned it, then took out the battery and sat the phone in the sun.  It works again, but I am having trouble pressing a few of the numbers.  I hope you can get a new phone and your phone carrier can transfer the numbers. Good luck, Diane

Thanks, Diane! I did the rice thing and it's coming back to life... I think I'm gonna wait a day or two before I have it turned back on just in case! I had no idea this was such a common thing... ! C h e e r s, gene

Hey Girlie! Got your message - thanks! My phone is slowly coming back to life... I'm gonna copy all of my data by hand! I think I had to do this once before, so I'll just put on a good movie and just keep copying names and numbers! C h e e r s, gene

This brought back memories.. about 6 years ago I had this mini me pager..it was so cute.. and about 1  " long.. had it clipped to my overalls.. and when i went to hook my strap up it popped off into the toilet.. but I had just completed the combo overall hook up-foot raised flushing action so my mini me pager was swirling before I could save it.. it was so cute..everyone loved it.. and now its floating in the Pacific.. it was at work and to this day when I pass that bathroom I have a sad moment remembering mini me.

Sorry that is funny. I have the image of your face as you drop it.

My husband fell into our pool with his in his pocket. It was all in slow motion. It was winter and outside was 50 and the pool was like 40. The look on his face was priceless.

Sorry about the expensive trip to the can.
