Moving to LA May 1st...need help.

so I am moving from DC to LA May 1st. I was banded on feb 7 and really wasnt planning on amoving at all, but was laid off here in DC and got a new job in LA. I was there this past weekend interviewing and looking for apartments. I found an apartment and a job! Now all I need is some info on support groups and doctors in the area. I was told cedars sinai has a great program. anyone go there?  anyone have good gym recommendations and trainers in LA? My office is in beverly hills and I am going to be living on doheny so somewhere in that area would be ideal. Hope I get to meet some of you. I dont know too many people there, and would love to make new friends. fyi...my name is Leslie, confusing sometimes because my screename sayas sarah ( my middle name).

WELCOME TO CALI  I am not in LA, but there all the time.   I know that Cedar's does have an excellent program and depending on which insurance that you have or will have, there are excellent WLS doctors here for your fills.  Hope to see you in a support meeting in the near future.  God bless you and much favor with your new position and home

Welcome to L.A. and congratulations on your new job. I had Gastric Bypass on 2/20/08 at Cedars- Sinai Center for weight loss suregery with Dr. Theodore Khalili. He also does the Lap Band.The Hospital is the best in the L.A. area, and they pretty much take all insurance companies. If you have an HMO make sure you choose Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. thanks. I will give them a call on Monday. I actually may have my Doc do it, so he can make the referal. I was worried they wouldnt take patients that didnt have the surgery done there. I think having the doctor call may help. I have a PPO. I dont think they cover anything, but am switching to blue cross ppo.
