Good TGIF Morning Cali
OMG Happy TGIF to all of you Cali Peeps!!!
Long first week back to work, but that just means fo us teachers that we only have less or just around 50 actual instructional days left and then we are FREE to be bums for the summer!!!! I am super excited considering my year has proven to be not such a good one. It is like last year I struggled to get supplies and spend copious amounts of my own money. Then this year principal cut loose with the money that Arnie gave for fine arts....and all I have gotten is harrassment. Go figure eh?
I have not said much about Ava lately and her lastest whoas with her neck and head issues, but her parents took her to Loma Linda on Monday. The doctors decided that although she is making progress, they do not feel at this time that it is good enough and they are going to put Ava in a helmut. They are waiting for approval from their insurance. They have to custom make it for her. I can just see Ava the Helmuthead!!! OMG she is so tempermental as it is sometimes that this will set her over the edge I am afraid. The good news is that her doctor feels that it should only be about 4 months or so that she will have to wear it. Bad news is that it cost$3,000 for it! Keep your fingers crossed that the insurance is not buttafuco's about approving it!
Onwards and upwards eh?
I started to try and read the boards as much as I could...eyes are bothering me this morning. I just read about JenDenni and her news of the CT scan. I am so happy for her that things are in the state they are!
BTW Lori C needs continued prayers for her dad and her poor dog Amber! Amber was attacked this week by a pitbull and was severely injured. Although Amber will recover, she had to be hospitalizd, medicated and I am sure if she could talk so friggin traumatized. So get on with your prayers peeps!
Jean are you out riding your new bike? When I was young, I use to ride a bike everywhere. I should get another one...nah...that is what motorcycles are for!
LULU how you doing gf?
Steve...did you add up the pounds lost?
Jillie thanks for grabbing Thursdays, but did you have to mention Christmas already??? LOL
Diane....seems like yesterday you had the surgery and now you are talking about going back to work. You are one tough cookie. Did you and Lisa have fun yesterday? I am jealous...whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I wanna play!!!!
Vicki...you have gottsa start typing bigger for this old ladies eyes.....I am dying trying to read what you wrote!!!
Well anywho...what do you all have planned for the weekend?
I am going over to a boarder town this weekend with my kids for drugs. My oldest son's heart meds are significantly cheaper so worth the drive and then they want to go to Joshua on Sunday...we will see.....mom needs a day off. I migh****ch Hunter tonight...hope so....you all know me....love them grandbabies!!!
Have a great day all and like I always say, just because I do not mention you specifically, one I have severe dust bunnies in brain and have a hard time reading, but know that you are very much cared for!

Good Morning Calif and Top of Morning Janine....
Today is my last day to work for the next 10 days. YAY!!!
As it stands right now, Kevin and I might go to Vegas for a few days, and golf. LOL After looking at the golf courses in Vegas, this could be lots of fun. Did you know that there is like 50 courses is Vegas? I sure didn't. Never seen one all the times I have been there. Ofcourse most of the time, I spent that time in doors, But the one time Step and I went, her stomping ground, we drove all over and I don't remember seeing one. Of course, back then, I didn't golf. LOL
Tomorrow is the 5k, so my friend Cindy is going to come and spend the night, so we can take off early and get her signed up, then hook up with everyone. I can't wait, its going to be so much fun. Then tomorrow night, is dinner for Kevins birthday. I really can't for that, its going to be so much fun.
Thats it, nother else at this time planned. I am hoping that we can take a motorcycle ride, and I am hoping that we can ride to Palm Springs and spend the day. Now that should be fun.
OK time to jump in the shower and get this day rolling.
LOVE TO ALL
Lu

TGIF is right!!! WOO-HOO!!!
This week with work hasn't been as hectic as the past 8+ months straight... two VERY hectic days... then some days filled with a variety of work... all amazingly manageable though.
I've been workingout like all h@ll at the gym... last night elliptical, treadmill and arm weights... noticed I didn't have to move the peg after some dude used the tricept machine...
This moring as I waited for my Mac to boot... I had my arms crossed... THIS GIRL'S GOT GUNS!!! OMG!!! See what 55 lb. weights can do? Anyhow, I feel good and strong... like bull. Kidding...
I hit below lowest goal weight yesterday... so I'm gonna go out with friends tonight for some shrimp fajitas sans tortilla... yet will partake in the guac!!! Tomorrow is the Joss Stone concert... can't wait!!! Maybe, just maybe I'll wear my new white 'worn' jeans... can't wait!!! I've been looking forward to seeing her for a few months now... and if I'm in top form I'll hit the slots while there...
That's about it... also heard from my brother... he's coming for a visit in June... YIPPEE!!! He lives in Tashket, Uzbekistan with his new wife Guyla. So, it'll be nice to meet her too. I may be healing from my body lift, but what the h@ll!
Have a great weekend all... make it memorable!!!

Hey lady...how's this?? So, the BIG news is...Mike will be HOME tomorrow!! yee haw! As of right now, he is coming in kinda late tomorrow night, but he is going to try to get on an earlier flight. I dont care if I have to pay 1000 dollars to make that happen, but by GOD- it will happen! I am really not that happy with what I have written yet so far on my paper. I have lots of facts and other people's opinions on it, but it is just a matter of getting my own written down. I am writing about Raphael's Madonna on the Meadow. After all that I have gotten, I am still at only about 2 1/2 pages. ugh. Thankfully, only the rough draft is due tonight and I already emailed the instructor asking for a little bit of leeway with Mike coming home and all. He seems to be a prettty understanding guy, so we shall see. I figured that if I could at least send to him what I have so far, it is better then nothing, right? Okay, lots going on this morning- have to meet with my daughter's school counselor, dogs to the vet, work on this dang paper, call the kennel to get the dogs in this weekend....and probably about fifty million other things that I will come up with! Have a great day!!!
