Vitamins
Do any of you use liquid vitamins? What kind is the best? Im just trying to get some of the things that i will need after the surgery, like vitamins, and i already bought Unjury so that I can take it when I get home. Any other things i should get before the surgery that were helpful to you? Thanks, Crista
You know I don't have a problem taking pills at all. It works out great for me. I take Centrum silver, because I am really old, and then vitamins B12, calicum and iron. My one year blood work came back perfect. I was lacking in nothing. I started out on Flintstone chewables. As far as liquid...I just don't think I would want to try that unless they were delicious.
Good luck, Diane
I've used liquid vitamins since before I had surgery. I initially used one brand, but found their price of over $2 per day to be expensive. I looked around and found another liquid vitamin that has far more supplements, and costs half as much. I mention it on my profile page. I had RNY surgery in May, 2006, and have taken my current liquid vitamin since September, 2007. The dose is one ounce per day. I compared the supplemental facts on this vitamins against others, and this was by far the best buy. I also use a powdered calcium citrate, and found out you can buy in bulk from www.bulkfoods.com . One level tsp has 700 mg of calcium citrate. Mix this amount with food or shakes 3 times daily, and you've got your daily allotment of calcium citrate.

I use liquid Centrum silver. It has more vitamins that I need than some of the others. I have no problems with swallowing pills. The reason I use liquid supplements or any of my RX's is the fact they absorb into the system faster and more completly. If not liquid then injectable.
