Silly question?? How do I STOP losing?

First of all, I am sorry that I have become such a lurker.  I have not been active on the boards lately.  I have missed you guys!!!  So here I go.... I am now 120 lbs. (I have about 5-7 lbs of extra skin) The doc didn't want me to lose anymore weight.  I have increased my caloric intake but it doesn't seem to be working.  I am not losing fast.  I lost 3 lbs in one month.  I workout 4-5 days a week now instead of my 6-7 days.  Should I be worried?  I am still not a year out.  I have heard that once I hit a year, the weightloss should be easier to control.  Is that true?  Did anyone else have this problem?  I really don't want to "junk up" my diet just to maintain until I hit a year.  I want to confirm the whole year thing before I get too concerned. Oh, on another note, I am leaving for my vacation on Friday.  My hubby, mom,  and my 5 kids are going on an Eastern Caribbean cruise!!  I am so excited!!!! Thank you in advance for any advice that you can give!!

I hit my goal weight at 6 months and 10 days (190#).  I dropped down to 187 and freaked out.  I thought I was one of those people who would go down to skin and bones.  I increased my carbs big time.  Big mistake!!  I should have increased the carbs abit...With most being complex carbs.  Many old timers seem to say that your body will let you know when it's time to stop losing.  I wouldn't worry about going too much below goal, esp since your exercising alot.  Increase the carbs a little, adding a little more good oils to your diet, and see what happens.  Brian

PS...Simple carbs and sugar are the Devil!!  They are the Devil before WLS (look what they did to us), and they are the Devil after WLS!!  Run with the Devil and you'll get burned.

If you want to hold your wieght, drop down to only 3 or 4 day working out and increase your carbs a little bit. Keep in mind that if you drop your exercise down, you want to be  really carefull about caloric intake.

Abit of both should do the trick.

Best of luck and enjo your vacation, kevin and I just got back from that very cruise. Hafe moon cay is borning, so make sure you find something to do, otherwise you sit on the beach. If you get the chance, feed the rays.

Have a great day.

Thank you, Lu for all of your advice.  I am so scared to increase my carbs because I don't want to gain weight again.  I have done it already but just want the bad habits to creep back in my life. On our cruise we are going to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Puerto Rico.  I am so excited.  This will be my 9th cruise (all with Carnival).  My kids are bouncing off the walls due to their excitement. You have a great day too!!  And thank you again!! Hugs, Heather
