Ok CA friends I am 7 days away from joining you all on the losers bench. As of Next Monday 5:45 am i will be official. My surgery is at Orange coast memorial Hospital in fountain valley. Anything i need to bring with me that will make my hospital stay easier? Brenda

I didnt even open my bag. The only 2 things I needed was an extra pair a PJ's that I didnt mind getting blood on (from the drain) and a chapstick. I was constantly walking the halls, so the PJ's covered my BE-HIND! Good Luck! Follow all the instructions to the letter and you'll do great!

Your bed pillow, a pair of throw away cheap slippers as to not bring home any grems, your excess body weight. LOL Heck I just used one of their nightgowns as a robe.

where I was the night gowns were so big and comfy that I just used them. Chapstick and plenty of energy to walk the halls.

Your going to do fine and be sittin purdy on the losers bench before you know it.

I will be saying prayers for you and your hubby for perfect surgeries and speedy and pain free recovery.

Besides the chapstick, bring some reading material like a good book or some magazines. My roomate and I exchanged magazines because it gets mighty boring watching TV between walks!! JudyAnne

Good idea! I have never stayed at this hospital before so i am wondering if they even have TV's

I stayed there and they do have TV's. I was in a private room and it was pretty nice. Just bring that chapstick you will want that. Good luck, Diane

Diane, do they let your spouse stay with you in the room the first night? my hubby is worried and wants to make sure i will be alright. I booked him a room at fountain valley Ramada inn for 2 nights just in case. Brenda
