I get the Isopure from GNC. I don't mind them, but some people don't like them. What I think tastes real BAD, is the Isopure pre made drinks, that come in glass bottles, also at GNC.  Check here: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2929310&cp=26 65513.2108294&pg=2&parentPage=family as this is the type of whey protein I get. They have many others there, but this one is probably the best as far as sugar, carbs, calories, etc.  I mix them in a Magic Bullet, a small cup sized blender from Target, Linens & Things, or on-line.  The link is to only the chocolate flavor, but they have another 3 or more flavors also.  Note: use only one scoop for 25 grams of protein. The label states 50 grams of protein, but that's two scoops. Only use one for proper protein absorbtion.

I mix my protein with my water... I get protein shots on line from www.profect.com they're really good especially the citrus berry and I get about 50-75 grams/day!  its the easiest way I've found!

Good luck!

Cheri:

I make my own protein smoothie every morning...have for three years...I love it! But, you might not be someone who wants to get up and make a shake....you might be looking for a pre-made one of some sort.

If you have a blender and feel like making your own, here's my "recipe" (it's also made with coffee, so it's my morning coffee, too, all in one... sounds weird, but think mocha/frappacino-ish!):

In the blender:

ice

1 banana

1 scoop Chocolate Designer Whey Protein (you could use 2 scoops)

coffee (or water, or FF milk)

Blend...enjoy!

I also add some other things for me, just to get lots of good stuff in. I add some flax seed for fiber/Omega 3,6...and I dump in some frozen berries for more fruit...

There are so many kinds and your taste will probably change over time, mine have. I used to only drink World Wide , then only Isopure, now I mix my shakes in the blender. My favorite now is vanilla or plain protein powder, ice, fruit flavored yogart and 1/4-1/2 cup water or milk. It's a yummy shake. I've found for me that the brand isn't too important unless I'm trying to drink it mixed only with water. I buy mine at wal-mart now. Good luck and don't give up you will evetually find one you like. I am late in replying but wanted to let you know what Ive found that works wonderfully!  The Nectar Chocolate Truffle is AMAZING!  Its a brand new flavor and tastes like Ovaltine when mixed with 1% milk!  Its pure heaven!  I also love the Nectar Fuzzy navel too!  I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe but you can probably get it anywhere! Good Luck! Shawnna

I would go to support groups or PM people here who live close by and see which shakes they use.  Try tasting them before buying.  So many people will buy a big tub and hate the taste...giving it away.  Which ever one you choose, if it doesn't taste right, try it in milk or with Crystal Lite.  That may help.  Good luck, Brian
