Yep so far it is a windy wee hour of the morning here in the desert gang....so Happy Windy Morning to all of you!!!! Hold on to your bonnets today for sure!

Most of you are snoozing still which I so envy, but hey someone has to hold the fort dow eh? I even took an Ativan last night thinking...cool I will get some sleep. I took it 4 hours ago and here I be!!!! grumble grumble

I had a great evening with my grandbabies. Hunter was dropped off...he is such a fun baby and so darn laid back like his daddy was and then James, Sandy and Ava came over for dinner. I made a good pot of sauce for spagehetti and they slurped it up....I had salad. Ava had a yummy bowl of stawberries and banana's that I smushed up in a baby food grinder I bought yesterday. This is how I use to feed my boys. I prided myself in never feeding them anything but fresh food.

Here is a picture of Ava and Hunter together on the playmat thing I bought for them. I am starting to get quite a collection of grandma gear in my house. You know I so hate that! LOL

AvaHunter.jpg Ava & Hunter 3-28-08 picture by JanineJ

They were really cracking me up on the mat as they were totally checking each other out and Ava would roll over to reach for Hunter....it was really cute.

All I know is that I am very blessed!

Sue I hope you make it through the day and that Sammi has a great birthday party today....tell Sammi Happy Birthday for me! Wondering if she is having a pancake cake today???LOL Give her a big hug and smooch for me!

JenDenni....how did your scan go yesterday? I was thinking of you. Will you stil find out the results on the 3rd like they had orginally said?

Jodi..I am so looking forward to the grandkids getting a little bigger...I know as much as it is tiring running around after them, it is fun to watch them play and be entertained by simple things eh?

Shells what type of business is Chris in? She is going to be gone for a whole week? It's gonna make it lonely for you, butI suppose your new pup will keep you busy. You would be surprised at how many animals are abused. My mother was the humane education director for the SPCA in Oakland as I was growing up and until she passed away. I saw more abuse than I care to ever see the rest of my life. We had a german shepard that we got when she was about a year and a half....Sandy's former owners use to tie firecrackers around her neck. It took a lot of years of working with that dog to gain her trust. She was really smart and lived to a ripe old age of 17. Just be patient with your new furbaby and I am sure in time she will get that you're the best!

LuLu....hope you are not doing too bad. I am sorry that HR does not listen. They do not really care...and that is sad.

Vicki what was your assignment....curious art teacher mind wants to know!

Major KUDO's to you Monica P for signing up for the half marathon. I have the utmost confidence that you are going to be majorly successful. I love your spirit Monica...and you looked great in your "MEDIUM" shirt girl!

So what is on your agenda today gang? I did all my house work yesterday....even got all my winter clothes packed away until late fall again. YAY!!! I have not had a sleeved shirt on in a week and have some really brown arms and legs....even had my new bikini on this week sunbathing.....felt super good!

Today I am headed up to Joshua again....I do not want Jeff to miss out on the wildflower extraveganza up there! Plus I am selfish....I want him all to myself for a day where he does not work or get distractd by the have to do's around the house....he can do that tomorrow!

Have a great day everyone...and remember to be kind to yourselves!

PEACE OUT!!!! Biker Babe

Good Morning Janine and the Cali Crew, Or should I say good night, just getting in this morning, I haven't been around for awhile because school has been killing me.  I had a free night tonight and decided to be with my friends and just got dropped off.  Like I said, nursing school has been killing me, not much time for anything else except for a lunch here, a dinner there, nothing like I am used to....but I guess I better get used to it.  I hope everyone is doing good.   Take care all, Cara

Good Morning Calif and Janine....Top of the morning to all...

I woke up early and really tried to force myself to back to sleep. It didn't work, and I have 12 hours of work today. UGH!!!! But my coffee is done and I am  drinking a cup now, so I should be ok. ROFLMAO>>>

Yesterday, at about 1:30 I thought I am tried of sitting around the house, so I packed up my golf clubs and off I went. The couple in front of me was SLOW! so the guy behind me said we should gol together, then we both would not have to be waiting. So we started golfing together at about the 5th hole. He was fun to golf with. On sunday I hit a 86, yesterday I hit a 100. The wind was blowning and there was an airshow going on and...bluh bluh bluh....I am bad golfer.. end of story. But I sure do have fun.

On thursday, I took Max for his salon day and when it was time to pick him up, I thought I would walk up and get him. (1/2 mile) took me about 8 minutes in flip flops, Took Max and I 30 minutes to walk back. Poor thing just can't walk that far anymore. We hand to sit and let his breathing get under control and let his heart settle down. Poor thing, he really wants to get out and walk. His mind wants it, but his heart can't do it. I knew it was take us a bit of time, so I didn't rush him. I jus****ched him and when he was ready to move on, we would wal****il he couldn't keep going. Poor thing. Its so hard to believe that 2 years ago, he would walk/run my 3 miles with me.

Well time to hit the shower. I thought about not showering and going to work smelling, maybe a few days of no shower they would put me back on 8? What do you think?

Have a wonderful day. One and ALL

Good morning Janine and Cali! I hope you and Jeff have a fantastic day out in Joshua. I bet it's absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing some of the pictures. The weather probably isn't going to be the greatest for a party in the park but as long as it doesn't rain (and it doesn't look like it will) we will have fun. We haven't gotten very many RSVP so I sure do hope more kids show up.  DH is off work this weekend and his "mom" is here so we will all go for breakfast (pancakes) tomorrow when we can relax and enjoy breakfast. Those two grandbabies of yours are so super cute. With them side by side on the mat, you sure can see the family resemblance in them. Hope you all enjoy your day, no matter what you are doing. Sue

Babies are adorable.  They look so cute in the playmat...they have lots of questions on their little minds, you can see it. I am so  envious that you can get the pictures in your posts, us mac users on another forum used your guidelines and it still doesn't work for us....grrrrrrrr Have a wonderful day today....

Morning! My schoolwork for this week consisted of discussion board about Michaelangelo's DAVID and the Renaissance, as well as a chapter test.  I went to go work on it last night at about 630- but, I forgot that they were doing their monthly maintenance on the website, so I couldnt get on there on time. (everything was due by 8pm) and they go offline from 6-9.  Oh well.  As soon as it was all back up, I got on there.  I tell you, for anyone that has ever taken online classes and had to do discussion boards....there are some real (what's the nice way to put this *** interesting* comments that people come up with.  The requirements are that you are supposed to do an original post of your own about the subject and then reply to at least 2 or 3 others to get credit.  There is one lady that will re-post her exact same thing that she wrote on her original post, onto EVERYONE's post...it is kind of annoying! The sad part of it is, she can not express herself well and usually makes no sense. Of course, she could say the same thing about me!  LOL Let's see, on the agenda for today is to take my kiddos up to my MIL's for my SIL to pick them up and then head over to BOP's house for our luncheon and then I get to come home to a quiet house (well, relatively-I still have the two pups to deal with....but, they dont talk back!) haaa My next project due for art is a research paper, 4-5 pages long, about a certain piece of art.  I have to give a little bio about the artist and then discuss the piece and the composition/style/etc and why I chose it.  The rough draft for that is due on next friday and with Mike on his way home...I need to get going on it!!  That is probably what I will work on tonight too while the kids are away. Okay, the natives are hungry-time for breakfast!! Have a great day California! hugs to all, Vicki
