Hi Brenda,
I'm sending you lots of positive and warm thoughts. I just wanted to let you know that I have been on Tricor for my Tryglycerides for a couple of years now and it really has helped. I am a year out of surgery and just had my bloodwork done. My Tri's are at 104. My doc was very pleased and so am I. I hope you will be able to get yours lowered! Take care and good luck.

When I look good I feel good, when I feel good I look good.
Thanks Robin!
In 2007 i found out my tri's were a issue, at that time they were 930 within 6 weeks of a non fat diet i lowered them to 259. Six moths later they were 360 and this last test 723 I probably should have been on meds for this a long time ago!
They put me on Lopid 600MG 2x a day until surgery i need to lower it under 600 crossing fingers.
Brenda
Brenda,
Triglycerides will rise when someone eats too many carbs/sugars for their body. How much is too many?? That can be individual to the person. My husband battles the triglycerides thing, and when he cuts his sugars/carbs they do go lower. He can be doing really well with his cholesterol, but the triglycerides can still be high, and the doctor explained that he really needed to watch anything that would be a faster acting carb. So, now we've changed to all whole grains, lots of veggies, no rice, no white potatoes, no white anything and lots of lean protein to go with the high fiber, wholegrains.
Hope this helps, and best wishes!
