Vicki...

Some docs...they are just like you said...they have a "god-complex" ...it's so unfortunate that your consult was with one like that.

It's just HIS OPINION! I hope that your PCP will direct you to someone who can HELP you...

hang in there!!

If it helps any or makes you feel any better the Neuro doc told my dad the same thing and the Ortho doc said WTF, I dont think so. You need surgery and I am doing it. So hopefully you will have the same luck with your Ortho!!! Until then I hope you can manage the pain, ect. Remember you are loved!! Miss you come back soon!!!!

That is horrible!  I can't believe that he talked to you like that!  How disrespectful!   I had a B12 deficiency a few years ago, which resulted in the loss of control of my right hand.  It was horrifying, and my neuro was of no help, either.   I will still never forget the sobbing I did on the way home from the neurologist's office after she told me that there was nothing she could do for me.  I mean they are NEUROLOGISTS for goodness sake!  Aren't they supposed to be at the top of the food chain when it comes to the medical community?  Luckily, I got most of the functioning back after about 6 months.  But you have been going through this for 10 years!  OMG!  That is such a long time! Sorry, I didn't mean to make this about me, I just know that having a neurologist tell me that she couldn't help me was some of the most devastating news of my life, so I really feel for you.  Definitely get that appointment with the orthosurgeon, sounds like it's the way to go.    What a ***** that doctor is!!! I'm so sorry he put you through this! That was the last thing you needed. My heart goes out to you honey! I'm glad you are going to fight to the end. I know the Ortho will see things as they are and be willing to help you. Hang in there and remember your honey will be home soon to wrap his arms around you and make you feel better!!!!  You are still in my prayers and my fingers are crossed too!    God bless you, Becky
