Good Thursday Morning Cali!!!

Why is it when you are working the weeks cannot go as fast as they do when you are on vacation? This week for me is going way too fast and I am not feeling the urge to remotely feel like I even want to go back to work next Monday..and don't say it JudyAnne about you having Monday off too! LOL

Today my friend goes home to Georgia and yes I am going to miss her, but I also need a vacation from running my butt around since last Friday. Here is a pic of Sally and I out at Joshua the day before:

We have been friends for 38 years...hard to believe. We have laughed our butts off because we have both said more than once...our mothers are laughing their butts off knowing we are together again! When Sally goes home, she is putting into motion moving back to California and living here. It will be great!

Here is a photo of some of the wildflowers at Joshua too that day....let me tell you the flowers and such were spectacular after this rain we have had this year:

It really was a pleasure to be able to share Joshua with Sally as she is a nature lover like me and she also knows how much this place means to me!

So enough about me...how about the WWW day yesterday....Steve....how did the numbers add up? How did things go at work this week with the regional people crawling all over your company?

Luana I hope your work situation went well yesterday. I surely hope that you got the 8 hour shifts again!

Jean....I am so sorry about your kitty. I know you know you did the right thing. You are a good loving person by doing so even though I know it was a very difficult decision to make. My heart goes out to you. All of us animal lovers knows your pain. 

Shells sounds super promising about having that new job eh? How cool is that? You sure are a go getter....heck you just put it out there and whammo....I likea person who walks the talk! BTW I did not know you were the one planning Craig Park this year. I only went the 1st year, but hope to make the one this year if there is one!

Sue how are you feeling? I know all too well the pain of kidney stones....you poor baby! Tell Miss Sammi that extra super duper kisses really help mommy!

Mysstwalker....I read your post and I surely hope that your leg issue gets resolved....please do not get discouraged...it is just a bleep in the journey is all.

Kim aka Madame Butterfly....a huge thanks to you for meeting my friend and me on Tuesday and giving her some tips on job leads here.....she really was appreicative and me too for your time. I know you were tired, but I think that iced zippity doo dah coffee thingie at least helped you drive home!!! You're almost there at your goal and I am very proud of you....EVERYONE Kim literally works her skinny butt off and it really shows...you go KIM!!! 

Newbie Lisa...you are doing so great and I am so happy to see you becoming a regular poster in the morning. That 1st time out meeting people I know was hard for you, and I am glad you took all of our advise about posting. You are doing fantastic with your WL so far....keep up all the hard work!

Stacie...congrats on being named POTW...maybe it take you out of lurking now!

SueBee I hope your nephew continues to make good progress!

Celest....hope you are doing better also!

Diane...glad to see you posting and when you get back, I hope we can see each other.....that really sucks about the PT thing and WC....figures eh? I am sure your doc is going to have his office seek approval with your insurance to obtain more therapy. Have fun this weekend and remember you are not even a month out for the TKR go easy on yourself!

Chris....WOW 14!!!! and what about bathtub room not to mention skinny legs!! You are really out there working that tool girl!! YOU GO!

Monica P....how are things going for you? I do not believe you have been around much and I do hope that somehow you have gotten some relief from the girl issues.

Good Morning Janine and Crew!    We working folks are happy it is a Thursday and that the weekend is almost here!    But I feel you on how the vacation time flies while the work weeks crawl....    Thw reported weekly weight loss was -23.8 from yesterday's post. Work has been fine so far this week and management has been supportive rather than critical and does understand the frustration of those of us front line people just trying to help our customers and the new software not enabling us to do so for so long. It is better these days but it's embarrassing to have been less than professional with our clients... after all it wasn't their fault our company made this change and they can always take their $$$$$ to our competitors! Good morning Janine and Cali! Today I am going to venture back to work. That darn Kidney stone is still in there but it has moved away from causing Acute pain. I feel more like I've been kicked in the back than anything. Urologist is giving me 4 weeks to pass it on my own. He measured it and said depending on which way it is turned when the time comes, will depend on whether or not it goes on it's own. Keep your fingures crossed it's the small way! I also hope it passes quickly.  Yesterday, we took Sammi to her 3 year well baby check up. 37inches tall and 30 pounds. it puts her right inthe 50 percentile for both height and weight. He's pleased with how well the breathing treatment is working and wants us to continue to keep our eyes open for "attacks". When we got there, he asked if I was feeling OK. Told him I had a kidney stone. He made sure I was following with someone and asked if I ate Almonds. I eat ALOT of almonds. He thinks that may be my culpret. I guess of the dietary causes of stones Almonds are high on the list. Anyway, wish me luck at work today. Hope everyone has a great day. Sue

Morning.... I am off to Bakersfield this morning to go see the neurosurgeon.  I hope he gives me some good news! Other than that, nothing new going on around these parts..oh WAIT- Mike will be here in less then two weeks!  Yeeee haaw!  On the day we go pick him up at the airport, I am going to tell my two youngest (6 and 4) that we are picking up Mizz Marta from the airport, so they won't have a clue.  tee hee....  I wish I could bring someone along to take pictures of it all! I still havent heard from Lynn or Michele and I am beyond worried.  I am sure that there has to be a really good reason for the non communicado, I just hope that everyone is okay. Okay- need to get my oldest to school and then get mike's truck all gassed up and then hitting the road.  Take care California...I am sure you will all hear about my visit today.  ha ha hugs to you Janine and how flippin' cool that you have kept a friendship for so long!

I surely feel ya on the vacation weeks flying by! I feel the same every weekend too! I am glad you got to spend some time with your friend though. I have a friend that I have known for 23 (yes, we met in first grade!!!) years and we don't see each other often, so I know how cherished those times can be!

Thanks for the shout out on the job, it was lucky timing more than anything! I started sending out resumes and they just happened to call right away and need me right away. =)

Yep, I offered to coordinate the madness at Craig Park this year. I am going to book the spot as soon as I have the spare $125 to do so. I also need to check in with Steve and make sure we don't reserve the same days for Craig Park and Toms Farm!

Anyhow...I have a charlie horse in my right calf....got it yesterday and it will not go away....I can feel it even when my leg is relaxed. Has anyone ever had that? I have never had one that wouldn't go away?! It's driving me slowly insane! LOL

OK, I better get to work!
