Newest member of our family.

Both my dog that I got from the pound where the best things I have ever had the luck of owning. Danny (passes 5 years ago) is my "son" and I miss him every day. When I got Max, I told the pound I wanted something short fat and lazy. The opposite of Danny. Max is just that, and I love him for that. He is around 12, but not really sure. He is slowing down now, but is still always very happy to see me when ever I come in the door. Even if I just stepped out to pick up the paper, it seem like it been years since we have seen each other. He was not a very happy little man where he use to live, and now I think he is over joyed at life.

Thank you for saving a live, and giving her, Rudy and Max and reason to smile.

Its true what they say, pound puppies know that you did a nice thing for them, and they appreciate it every day!

Oh Shells, She is soooooooo cute!!!!!  We hade two bassets, Corkie, a female, and Buddy a male purebred.  Corkie was the absolute best dog we have ever had.  She got cancer and had to be put down.  We gave Buddy away when Mike and I split because he was't getting enough attention.  He was sooooooo stupid, a big ole clutzy ox of a dog :-)  We loved those doggies so much.   I hear that bassets do have a few quite bad habits but ours never did. She is just adorable.  Congrats!!!! Manu hugs to you and the new addition!!!

Yeah, Max will eat ANYTHING he finds on the floor...ANYTHING...I was missing a tupperware lid...found it last week chewed to beat all under the ottoman. So far thats the only bad habit we have seen...other than the fact that they are both STUBBORN. LOL
