healthnet HMO help in CALI
Hi sweetie! I really don't know how to answer your question, but since I saw it on the main board and here, I have to at least say hi!!
I had Kaiser and they do everything for you in a certain way, so I don't know how it works with other HMOs. You do need a pysch evaluation (saw that on your other post) but I think most surgeons have specific ones they use.
It sounds like you have been dealing with a lot! Yaaayyyyy for the MS being in remission! I hope it stays that way long enough for you to get your WLS and get a chance at a new life!! I'll be praying that you get your WLS and once you are healthier, get pregnant!!! Stay stong!!! May God bless your journey! hugs, Becky
Surgery was RNY 5/21/07...I can be found on Facebook: anewbecboo or Becky Reddick
Hi ..
I have Healthnet HMO, my GP did all the paperworkto start the process and I had to REALLY stay on top of everything, my trouble came from the medical group NOT Healthnet. I had to really fight and be persistant to get what I wanted. I have it all documented on my blog, the process took me about a year .. Feel free to message me any time if you have questions. Good Luck!!
I had Health Net HMO for my surgery. My PCP took care of all the referrals and sent me to the surgeon AFTER I had gone through what he/the medical group/the HMO required. It can be a long process but don't give up. It's worth it. It makes such a hugh difference in your life. I know it has in mine. I started at a highest weight of 425 and am now at 250, still pretty big I know but life is SOOOO much better now. By the way, I did NOT do it for weight loss. I did it to be healthier and pain free and I am now.
