Snacking
Optimists are right. So are pessimists. It's up to you to choose which you will be.~~Harvey Mackay
Hi Gus, Thanks for reminding us to stay on track. The "snack *****" (as Vicki puts it ) visits me often mostly when I am bored. I went to Trader Joes and bought me some soy crisps. I pack a little baggy of them in the morning before I go to work for emergency snacking. Also, I may have like 6 peanuts and the cravings go away. I try to just stay hydrated and if I feel like snacking I go drink something first because if I do that, the "snack *****" has a tendency to stay away. The rotisserie chicken is an excellent idea!
Hope you are having a good Tuesday.
Hugs,
Jaime
You can snack, but try to find healthy alternatives. A few almonds, string cheese, or dried peas. I've mentioned the dried peas on other forums, but not here. These are dehydrated peas (like the veggie that is served at so many dinner tables), yet 1/4 cup has 6 grams of protein. They're a greeen veggie and crunchy, so much better than trying to snack on peanuts or most other nuts. Cost?? $1.35 per pound. Here is a site where you can see what they look like, as others get confused. I don't understand the confusion: http://www.harmonyhousefoods.com/Sweet-Peas-64-oz_p_20-1751. html But this site has them grossly overpriced. 64 oz will cost $29 here. I purchase mine from Clarks Nutrition, stores: http://www.clarksnutrition.com/retailer/store_templates/ret_ about_us.asp?storeID=2691B1FE187D41ACB869A85CA5957A0A and they sell them at $1.35 per pound. I recently bought a 20 pound bag for $27, so you can see how much cheaper it is here.
