I have passed kidney stones on 3 occasion.  So, I feel your pain.  Literally!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm sure they already told you ... but, I'll tell you anyway ... DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!  It's the quickest way to get this dude passed and out of your life.  Take care of yourself, Sue. Brian

Thanks Brian, I have heard they are worse for men to pass. OUCH! DH and I are wondering how I even got one in the first place since I drink alot of water everyday. Oh well, It happened and now it needs to pass. Extra water for me today.  Sue

 My poor Secret Pal!!!  I'm going to join in the chorus and tell you that I've also had these...when I was about 16 or 17.  I don't recall the reason, I want to say too much calcium, but I could be wrong about that, try Web MD, they're pretty good at this kind of thing...I was actually in the hospital with mine and I can recall passing it, that was a weird experience.            I send you love and healing prayers for a quick end to this!!!     Your very own SPinSC!!!

Did the Dr give you a strainer, so you can catch the stone when it passes?  If you bring it to the Dr, they can have it analyzed.  They can determine if it's the type of stone that might be created by certain dietary factors. Brian

Yes, I they gave me a strainer. I'm one of those curious types that want to know what it looks like too. LOL Calling the Urologist for an apt now...... I have a feeling it has something to do with the bypass and calcium.

Sue, I sure hope this passes soon! I have never experienced it (and hope I don't ever have to) but my DH had one a few years ago...and it was awful to see him go through that! At least us girls have a little easier time getting it to pass... Hang in there and take those meds!!!
