Good Morning Calif.....

Yesterday was a great day.

Kevin came and picked me up on the motorcycle and we went for a ride. Not to long, but still a nice ride. Then we went to his brothers and SIL and had lunch. Watched the kids find the eggs and Kevin brought over a late birthday day gift to his nephew. A little yahama 50.

That thing was sooo tiny, it looked like it should be used as a bookend. So flipping cute.

The kids rode that for a bit then we had lunch. Sharon, Kevins SIL made a ham. WOW that was way good. I only had a little bit, but it was good. I think before I finished chewing Kevin was telling the family we where leaving.

So we went for a short ride, to my house, then changed clothes and went golfing. It was a nice warm day and we had a great time. I know I won hole. I might have gotten a second hole, but I don't remember. I know over all, Kevin Kicked my butt.

All in all we had a great day.

I do wish you all a great day.

Good Monday Morning Janine and Crew!

Happy Belated Easter to everyone! It seems that by the end of the week I have spent so much time at the computer for work that I just cant bring myself to sit at the computer at home over the weekend! It sounds like folks had a lovely day though, as did we.

Janine, that is AWESOME that you got on your bike this weekend! I am so proud of you!

Easter was good in our house. Marcus hunted eggs and we made a small dinner and pretty much just hung around and relaxed most of the day....pretty laid back.

I started looking for a new job at the end of last week. They have been making some managerial changes around here and the atmosphere has changed 1000%, and I decided I just don't want to be here anymore. There is one woman they promoted who is just making life miserable for the rest of us, and, she has created a HUGE divide between the teams in the office, which is just SOOOOO uncomfortable. Since I am a contractor, I have the freedom to just get up and go if I choose to, so I am slowly looking to see what is out there. I have an interview tomorrow for a job doing data control for a medical screening company....I am not sure how interested I am in it, but I will see after the interview.

Other than that...Chris is going to TX to her company's corporate offices for a week, she leaves next Monday. They do a big managers training once a year, each store sends two full time employees that are being groomed to be store managers, and they spend a week learning about running a store and managing employees and all that fun stuff. It's a big deal for her, she is VERY excited and I am very proud of her. She worked really hard to get there. So, she is getting herself all ready to go, deciding what she needs to take and whatnot.

Ummm...yeah...I better get my booty to work! I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!!

Morning! We had a wonderful time in San Diego, the only downer was that my stupid a$$ spent about 3 hours in the sun on Tuesday and i got FRIED. I kept telling myself to get some sunscreen, and i even went searching through my parents house for some, but didnt find any.  And sine I was already iny my suit, I didnt want to go to the store.....well, i paid heavily for it because for most of the time there I was in pain (which was good because it took away the back pain...ha ha) Anywho- kids are off of school today, so I will be getting them outside to enjoy the nice weather.  Hope everyone has a great day!

Janine, Working thru your fears is so hard, and so important. MAJOR kudos to you for taking the first steps.  Morning all. FINALLY, my week of busyness is over. Singing lead for a church is super busy two times a year: Christmas and Easter. Add to that that Sunday was ALSO my birthday ... it was one stressful and busy weekend. AND It wasn't a birthday I was looking forward to.

As you should be able to see, one of my gifts to myself was a haircut. My hair had just thinned out so much that I could do nothing with it. So... chop chop. I got a sassy lil bob. Straight, it looks like Posh Spice. Natural, curly, it looks like Louise Brooks. I love it!! My other present to myself was a massage. I am feeling great, though a little sore.  Sunday evening, after the massage, I went to dinner with my family & best friend to the Stinking Rose in BH... I was underwhelmed. Oh well ... After I went to the apartment of the boy I've been seeing, and I left quickly. He's overwhelming... talk about karma. That's just what my last bf broke up with me for. I just need time for me ... with me.  Happy new week y'all ... Trying to be good, so i can be a little bad at Disneyland on Saturday!!

Happy Monday Janine & Cali Crew,      sounds like you had a new kind of Easter ( it is called the unpredictable g-baby's Easter) I know what you mean.  It usually never fails that the babies are fussy, sick or not co-operative when  there is a Holiday- but all in all it sounds like Neen new what to do!!!        Vroom Vroom to you Janine, so proud of you getting on that bike, now that you did it, it will become easier and you can get back to what you love!! I really hope you enjoy your spring break- you deserve some Janine time!!!!      Our Easter was fantastic- lots of WOW moments for me- there were some relatives there that hadn't seen me for awhile and they were very proud of my weight loss- and then can we say brothers and SIL who still have not said 1 word???? Hmmmmm? Yesterday I pulled out a new shirt and pants to wear and went to iron them and as I was ironing they seemed so small, I said these are not going to fit, but they did.  What is so strange now is that all of these holidays which involve a lot of food- I am not even interested in the eating part like before- I had a piece of ham, some salad and jello.  This is such a new and welcomed experience for me!  I'll tell ya, fitting into that 14 top and bottom felt better than any food would taste!!!      We had a wonderful day watching the g-babies hunt for eggs and running around my parents backyard.  They just had a ball with their cousins!  All in all it was a glorious day!  Sounds like all the Cali Crew had a great Easter!                                  Make it a great day, Chris

Oy! What a nice vacation I had!  I got lots of things done and stayed close to home, but it was nice to just do things at my own pace and not feel rushed because I was short on time.

I didn't go to my family for Easter. I feel so bad now, I didn't get to see my mom, I'll have to make it up to her....I just couldn't handle the family thing right now.  Instead I spent it with a friend and his family I had such a good time.

I've been stepping up my running in preparation for the Santa Anita 5k, I hope to see lots of you there...even if you just walk it's only 3.2 miles and it goes by so fast.  Come on out!!  I think this will be my last 5k.  My next event will be a 10k.

I put up my 8 month post-op pictures and updated my weight and measurements. I did pretty well, and my trainer wants to focus on upper body strength now.  That means lots of sore shoulders, arms, and back for the next few weeks. :S

I completed all my tests, but won't get the results for a few days. I had blood drawn and a pelvic ultrasound to determine what should be done about my wacky menstral cycles....I'll let you all know what happens.

Happy Spring, California....I'm so glad the warm weather is here!

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Kudos to you miss Janine for climbing back on your iron pony! I would love to go for a ride but I don't have a bike right now. Maybe someday it will work out that we can take a cruise together! Hope you are enjoying your break! Sue
