Happy Monday Cali
Good Morning Cali and a happy day to all of you!!!
Do you ever have a day where nothing goes right, but everything is still okay? Welp that was my day yesterday and inspite of it all...I would not have traded it for anything!
I was not prepared for dinner or late lunch...bbq. Hunter was a fuss bug because he could not go poopy...so grandma took care of him and between getting him to go and then getting him to nap...grandma fell asleep too with a house of people and when I emerged from my room a couple of hours later....everyone pitched in and dinner was all pretty and done, Hunter was still napping, and although I felt a bit dopey from taking a Xanax because I was totally over the to stressed....I still felt good.
Ate...not much, feed Miss Ava bear her new favorite food...Light&Fit yogurt (she porks almost 4 oz's down) chatted with my family and friends then went to the store with Mr. Scott (Hunters dad) for ice. While I was out....saw a lot of motorcycles. My brain was itching to ride.
I FINALLY GOT THE NERVE TO GET ON MY MOTORCYCLE AND RIDE!!!!I rode all the way downtown and back (only about 4 mile or so, but did it!). I have been very scared to ride and in fact only the 3rd time I have since I had that friggin accident, but nevertheless I did it and alone! Major accomplishment for me as I have a very difficult time walking through fear. It truly was a magical moment for me! Most of you do not know this because there are so many newbies.....but I have been riding for many years now and have rode in 5 states, never trailered my bike anywhere and for me not riding felt as though something was truly missing in my life!
What did all of you people do yesterday? I want to hear about it all!!!!
Congratulations to you LuLu and Stace S for being such WLS stars...you both have accomplished so much!!! I am real proud of you both.
All the SD crowd....I am sure glad you had a good time. I would have loved to have been there, but it was not meant to be this time...one day I will just show up like I did at LB.

I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday whatever you did and celebrating Easter whatever way you chose to do. Today I wish you all an even better day whether you are working or playing like a lot of us teachers will be doing!!!

Good Morning Janine and all the rest!
I'm sorry your day was so crazy, but it sounded like it turned out to be a good one no matter what. So glad to hear you got to hop on your bike and go for a ride. I know how much you love that machine.
Friday I had the best day I have had in such a long time. My 2 year old grand daughter spent about an hour dying Easter eggs and putting Thomas the train stickers on them, while singing Jingle bells. I forgot to teach her Here comes Peter Cotton Tail. Oh my gosh she had mommy and daddy and I laughing so hard and she new it. She would come to Dashing through the snow, and she would sing , HO HO HO in every part she could makin us all laugh.
Then while watching her Poppy (grandfather) assemble her new swing set on Saturday and put $4oo worth of artifical grass through out the entire back yard for her new swing set and sandbox and the back yard turned into one giant playground for Sarah and Kaiya my grand daughters and Vivianna and Sophia and grand niece's.
My daughter had purchased one of those trampolines with the sides all around it for her daughter to jump and get her exercise in with out it seeming like work. Sarah played outside so hard and long on Saturday that after her warm bath, by bed time her hear hit the pillow she was out with in 3 minutes .
Come Easter morning she woke up and found 40 c0lored hard boiled eggs and 9 plastic eggs with change in them.
Then I got a call from my Niece saying they would call just before the came over so I could re hide the eggs for my 2 and almost 6 year old niece and my almost 8 year old granddaughter and of course my 2 year old grand daughter to find. This time there were 39 hard boiled eggs to find due to my daughter sitting on the couch and well smashing one of them.
It was the first time Vanessa (daughter) boiled 40 eggs and not a one cracked. I also hid 40 plastic eggs with dimes in them to find. This bunch of girls just love to hunt easter eggs. It was the first time for plastic eggs but it went over well.
The only bad part was the text I recieved at 5:30 am Sunday morning telling me that my son and daughter in-law were going to be late like noon and would tell me when they got here why.
So I thought They went to church as always, but come to find out they all spent the night before Easter in the ER due to my grand daughter throwing up and then complaining of chest pain and then a horrible headache. She threw up and then told her mom and dad that something was wrong she said mommy. daddy something is wrong my chest hurts really really bad and now my hear is hurting. So off they went. The dr.'s didn't find anything wrong. I asked her mommy if she was going to go to her pediatrition just to make sure and have a possible CT scan done.
She is there only child and I probably worry to much but to me it's better safe then sorry when it comes to my girls. They had mentioned a lumb bar pumcture but that scares me to death on a little girl. But if they think in the long run it has to be well then I want what's best for her. The inital check up found nothing and they are just saying that she vomitied so hard it caused the chest pain and head ache. Well I will feel better once she sees her pediatrition today or tomorrow.
That scares the living day lights out of me. Kaiya (granddaughter) for the last 2 years is just not the happy go lucky little girl she was at one time. I know they will find nothing, but I still worry.
After sleeping when she got home from the hospital they came here and Kaiya said she felt great. Took she shoes off , looked into the back yard and her jaw dropped. promptly put her shoes back on and ran out side and had a ball. She complained one time of a headach to poppy(grandpa) one time but she said it went away. I told her mom and she said she was going to have her look at today by her ped.
Other then that scare, dinner and the entire day was just wonderful. I even sat out in the back yard on the patio with hubby to watch the kids play. What a great feeling and a wonderful Easter Suday day it was. There were about 25 family members her, and it was absolutly wonderful.
I'm sorry I talked and rambled on and on. I just can't believe I had such a fantastic day.
I hope everyone here had hejust as good of an Easter Sunday as I did. The only down side was my older grand daugher with her headache which went away according to her by time she got here. I just hope it really did. She was upset that she might not be able to come to MAMA'S house yesterday if she was sick. (she can come to mama's house anytime) She did come over and I pray that it was just a fluke type thing. the throw up, the chest pain and the headache, We shall see.
OK I have really used my dimes worth now. LOL
Take care all and again sorry for running off at the mouth.
I hope you all had a beautiful Easter and enjoy your day today.
Take care
I thought about you all day yesterday. I'm so glad to hear that everything went well. I didn't have nearly as many people at the house as you did, but mine was wonderful. I still couldn't help thinking about how great your Easter day must have been. I'm so glad all went well.
Just had to pop in and let you know I was thinking about you. Have a wonderful day and don't work to hard.
Take care
Jeni WOW I didn't realize that you had grandchildren also. Guess I should go back and read your profile or pay closer attention.
I thought you meant your mom was a great grandmother as in terrific grandma, not greatgrandma. You don't look old enough to have grandkids yourself. How wonderful for you also. Yes that rewind button would be just the ticket. I would love a rewind button to take my own kids and grand kids back to my time when I was young at Easter and all the holidays and really let them see how you could play in the streets and the yards till 10pm with no problems. I'm so happy that your's was a wonderful day also. I even had a good day Monday also. Go figure.
The only thing I can think is I went out into the back yard (which I never do) with my granddaughter and swung her on her new swing set just her and I. She says to me that poppy,(grandpa) has to buy her a new swing, I said poppy just bought you this one.
She says I need one that goes way up to the sky. She can't swing high on this one as it has just the seat that wraps around your butt, and she swings on the ones that have the back and front on them at the park. Mommy and Daddy swing her way high, as she says.
So when poppy(grandpa) got home from work yesterday, she asks him for a new swing set. He says WHAT? I explained to him, and he took her to toys r us and bought a new seat for her and he swung her way up to the sky. What a happy little girl we had last night.Although we had to drag her in at 8pm for her bath and bed. She is all of 2 years old you know.
Well now that I have talked your ear clen off, I will let you go.
I'm so glad you had a wonderful day.
Take care my friend and have a wonderful week. I have a feeling your days are numbered before your big day hits. Keeping everything crossed for you.
