New Date- April 29th- My choice

Just wanted to update. I called Dr. Coates' office today and spoke with Hilary. She asked how my appt. went with the Hemotologist. I explained that I have to check back in with him on Wed. I then asked if it would be at all possible since I am only 2 weeks from surgery today to see if there was someone who was scheduled for surgery later in the month that would want to switch with me. Since my appt would be only 1 week from surgery, I felt like it was too soon. I want to make sure to be working with the hemotologist for at least a couple of weeks to see what can happen. She was kind enough to give me the opening that they had on April 29th. So, here is my date... I sure as hell hope it actually happens!!!

Well I am sure it will happen. Why the appt with the hemotologist may I ask. I must have missed something in the last weeks.

Hi Gloria, My iron was super low again and Dr. Coates' office referred me to a Hemotologist to see what is going on with me before they can do surgery. I have to get clearance from him first. So he has me taking my multivitmain and 2 iron pills/day to see what happens within the next week. The delays suck, but hopefully I'll be as healthy as possible if/when the time DOES come.

I'm glad your surgeon is being thorough and hopefully the Hemotologist will work his magic on you so you can keep this surgery date!! Thanks for letting us know what is happening and you will be in my prayers sweetie!!! big hugs, Becky

Becky, Just noticed that on the bottom of you post that you are going to cabo on the 24th. We are going on 22 I think.  My niece is getting married so we are going down for 4 days. HAve a great time there. Liz

Okay you sneaky girl! Good thing I didn't take off your surgery day like I was planning on doing since you have switched your day again! Hopefully this time is for real. And good thinking on your part. You may  not have the problem under control in the next few weeks so it gives you a little bit more time to get things in working order. Thank you ML, So true... better safe than sorry! I can't wait to see you too. I was so bummed around the last support group meeting that I didn't go. I know that's when I definitely SHOULD go though, huh? This process is just becoming frustrating and I'm trying to stay positive, but it seems like its never going to happen, you know?
