Hi Everyone!!!!! hope life is treating you all well.. just stopping in to say that i will miss the friends i have made on here ,this board is a great place for support ..i wont be able to get online for awhile for im moving in 2 weeks to northern cali, yep im going to be up at yosemite national park working and living . i cant wait . now im packing like crazy now , we start work on april 1st. not much time to pack and get things done but we started a few months ago but we couldnt really pack  to much not knowning forsure. got the word this morning . i hope that everyone who lives in that area i can meet and hopefully get to a support group up that way.  that is the good news.  the sad news is i was rushed to er on march 12th and was immediatly admitted to the hospital my bp was down to 50/44 not good at all, i had alot of pain in my upper stomach area . and they did a ct scan and it showed my pancreas was in not good shape nor my liver , i was released 5 days later ,i am doing better now . all my labs were bad and now they have me on platonics for my stomach ulcer and acid reflux i also have a hernia .i was told if i drank one drop of alcohol it could kill me , that is a big wake up call for me. i dont want to die, i know i did this to my self i have been under so much stress the drinking made me not think about it. i am going to aa and hopefully i will get back on track with my health. i know alot of you dont want to hear this but i thought i would let you all know how im doing since i havent been on in some time.  well takecare everyone and hope to see you all again someday when im back down in southern cal...  rebecca basra

Well good luck to you.  There are alot of people that turn to another vice once they no longer have food, but it sounds like you really went too far.  I have liver disease, NOT, from drinking, and I have had my drink for the year.  Drinking really is not it's all cracked up to be, it's more fun watching people. Anyway, good luck, nice area to be moving too. Diane

I agree with Diane, it can be WAY more fun to watch other people drink! LOL

Anyways, good luck with the new job in Yosemite! I have often contemplated the thought of getting one of the season jobs there for a summer. =)

Rebecca... God bless you as you move to one of the most beautiful places on earth, in my opinion!

May you "drink" in the beauty around you, and may your soul be filled with the peace that you seek...remember your Creator and His love for you as your eyes feast on His creation there...you and I are also His creation...sweet, huh?

best wishes and God's blessings,

Lori
