Hi Monica, I am so glad you are going to take of business and find out a little more of what is going on. Hormones can be an aweful thing to try and figure out. I am sure your body is just in shock from your weightloss. My hormones have always been out of whack even before WLS. After WLS they just got worse. My gyno put me on birth control patch to keep my hormones in line and my periods regular. I don't have to take pills I just change my patch every week for 3 weeks and then on the 4th week I don't wear it I get my period. Before this, I never knew when my period was coming or how long it would last. I remember bleeding for over 3 months.  Anyway, good luck to you. I am sure in time they will get you on track. Keep your head up. It may be something that meds can help with the depression.  I know they have helped me out- it's like night and day with my attitude and mood swings now that I am on anti-depressants.  Please keep us posted. Love, J

I hate to kind of tell you this sweetpea, but all this hormone business is kind of normal with the wl. Your body stores the estrogen hence making your mood swings, emotions and all that good girl stuff get super out of whack.

I use to have horrid visits that continual time of the month and had to have a d/c and ablation done. I have not been bothered with a period since then.....that was 4 years ago. You are young and I am sure you will want kids at some point...I think so I do not think an ablation would work for you. I am an old hag and now menopausal. I still have all my parts, but sheesh the hormones have been playing havoc with me since I started dropping so rapid again....I am having major personal summers!!! LOL

Monica get is squared away with your gyno...and I am sure you will feel better soon!

Excuse me, but did you forget that I got to check out your abs up close?? You are not an old hag!

If this is just a taste of what menopause will be like I'm in for the ride of my life!

Hi there, Let me tell you, the last thing I expected was to be going through the change of life at 59.  But that is exactly what is happening to me.  (now besides prozac, I have another reason for being *****y) Even tho all the toys from the playpen were taken out in 1980, losing fat cells really screwed up my system because they carry hormones.  Hence my problem.  I have pills to stop it, but I am not sure I want to, but neither the doctor nor I know what will stop the change, since there is nothing there to "fix" my problem.  So yeah, it's all hormones that are whacked out on you.  They will get it fixed, losing weight is a good thing for us, and we need to keep looking ahead at that, and not what are body is going through right now with all the changes to our systems. Hope things work out for you. Hugs, Diane

Thanks, best thing about this new knee is it has jump started my weightloss again.  There isn't much calories in pain meds! Also, are you having trouble with your ticker, I can't get mine to show up, and I didn't change a thing except my weight loss. Hugs 2 U, Diane
