Support Group Meetings in East Bay

Anyone know of any support group meetings in the East Bay? I live in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, but had my surgery in Modesto so I am not sure what is out here......so far I have only seen those support groups that are open to the patients of that particular doctor, and not a general WLS support group.  Any information would be most appreciated!

Hi Roni,  I know there is an open one in Pittsburg at the boys and girls club and then I heard there is one in Antioch through Sutter Delta- good luck, Chris

Contact both Sutter Delta in Antioch and John Muir in Concord, they both have monthly support groups.  John Muir is usually for their patients there but have included people who have had surgery elsewhere and are not close to the support group for the facility they had their surgery.  Everyone in that group is great.

I know of one at the San Leandro Hospital that is open to everyone.   I haven't been to this meeting in a VERY long time but here is the info that I know. I found them thru my surgeon, but they are on Yahoo Groups. They are listed as WLSSGBACA · WLS Social Group Bay Area, CA
