I am a "Lunch Lady."  I do dishes and serve fruit...may sound like an easy job...but it's NOT.  Today was my first day back and I am so beat!!!  My left side actually hurts too.  I guess my body just isn't used to my job anymore~ Cheri

You've been through major surgery!  A simple day of just running errands would leave me beat when I was a few weeks postop.  You'll regain your strength and energy, give your body time to heal...and don't over exert yourself!!

You're doing a great job.....

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

I ditto what Monica just said. Give yourself a break, it's going to take time. Hang in there, it gets easier. sue

I remember my first day back too, and I felt just how you do (I'm a teacher)!  It gets better, give yourself time to rest if you can, and each day you'll be feeling better.  There might be a slump here and there, but overall, it won't be this hard for long. -Donna

The first few days I came back to work I did 4 hour days.  Even then it was a bit to much.  Pace yourself.  Brian

Don't be so hard on yourself, Cheri!  Just take it easy.  Heck, if you get too tired, just sit on a stool, get an ice cream scooper and start to scoop and throw the fruit to the folks.  They can get their exercise with the "peach toss"  That will make for some attention I bet       Hugs to you
