Update on My Brother and Thank You

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to give everyone the update on my brother.  He was going into a diabetic coma because he did not have enough insulin in his body.  He was released from the hospital on Saturday night.  He was suffering from low blood sugar (which can lead to seizures, stroke, or a heart attack).  I endured my sister (thank goodness).  She asked me several questions about my wls experience.  I can honestly say that I enjoyed her company (I am not trying to have that experience again anytime soon).  That encounter will last me for another 6 to 7 years. Bro was taken off one of two medicines designed to control the blood sugar and put on insulin (sliding scale). He was given special diet also.   Thank you for all of your kinds words of encouragement and support.  All of you are great.  That is why I love this board. Kim

Thats great! I am so glad your brother had a fairly decent outcome, it could have been a lot worse! I am also happy to hear that you managed not to kill your sister...I feel you on needing certain family members in small doses....I have a lot of those!!! LOL

Thanks for the update Kim.  I'm glad to hear everything is undercontrol for now. I know what you mean with your sister. I have a couple family members that I barely tolerate. It sure makes family functions difficult sometimes. Prayers and good thoughts going out for continued healing. Sue
