I'm so sorry you are in pain!  All I can suggest is to keep taking those pain pills!  I seem to remember that the last time I took a pain pill was the night before my 1 week post op visit, so I guess it had subsided by then.  But that first week is painful; I remember being determined to be strong and ignore the pain, but then looking at my sister and whimpering "Sis, it hurts so bad!!" The vicodin worked quickly, though.  I can remember that about 15 minutes after I had taken them, I would have this brief euphoric feeling, thinking things like "This Crystal Light is the most delicious thing I've ever drank.  This TV show is the best thing I've ever watched"  Funny, but kind of scary!  I can see how people get addicted!

Hello Annabelle, It does get better I had surgery on 2/11 with Dr. fuller and it took about a week to a week and a half before the pain was not as bad I still hurt if I do to much but every day gets better. The first week I thought I was going to die I hurt so bad. Stacie

Stacie ~ Now that it has almost been a month, what hurts the most?  After you eat, or when you get up and down?  I sleep a lot but today has been my longest I have stayed up, but I am now feeling like a nap soon.  I got up at 8 am, and it is now 4:30 pm. ~Annabelle

Yes Miss Rocky, I am walking and sipping.........I just needed to hear from all you people who have gone through what I am going through, and try to get some of time frame when the pain stops.  One pain is when fluids are going through the body, and staples that are in me, when I get up.  Also the itching. Thank you Annabelle

Thank you, I am slowing down my sips........I get a dried mouth, so I am always sipping.  I hope I am not stretching out my new pouch. Annabelle

The dry mouth gets better it was very bad at first I just try to have something to sip on at all times and I find when I do that I do not have dry mouth. I just have to remember to slow down my sips. I found first out that ice chips helped a lot to you can hold them in your mouth until they melt. Stacie

I am going to have my daughter go get a bag of ice today, I think that is a good idea.  I have a protein shake that is 11 oz, so if I drink 1 oz every 15 min, then it should take me an hour and 15 min, but it is taking me longer.  Shoot after I take on chewable vitamin that fills me up........LOL.......... Have a good Sunday, Annabelle
