OMG..when will the pain stop?
The gas will pass, the pain will stop, have you taken your liquid vicodin or whatever you were prescribed for pain???....and if you're bleeding you need to call your surgeon's office!!
It will get better, I promise. :)

For me, the pain was a bigger issue than the gas. I felt every vibration of the car on the way home. It wasn't until I was one week out that the pain was tolerable without the vicodin.
A few days after surgery I was just laying in bed talking on the phone when the gas finally passed. I just had to wait it out.
Everyday since surgery has only gotten better, it won't always be like this.

Hey Annabelle =) Sorry you are uncomfortable right now. My surgeon required us to pass gas before we could go home. You had your surgery three days ago and I was still in the hospital at that time. I didn't pass gas until the 4th day. After I did, it came out quite easily and quickly..within a week of surgery I was all done! Good luck with the pain and I hope it passes soon =)

Yes Becky, today is day 4 and I can get up a little better and the gas is coming along great. I was in a lot of pain last night, maybe because I was up moving around and made the gas move also. I can not wait until all the gas is out and I can see how much I have lost. I was 312 lbs in the hospital before surgery. I had lost 43 lbs before surgery. People are saying they can see the loss in my face and neck.

Took me about 3 days before most of the pain was gone, but little sore until about day 5.
Have you tried different temperatures on your liquids? Warm broth was the easiest for me at first and I still tend to stick to room temp liquids.
Walk as much as you can because it really does help that gas work out - burps & poots :)
Good Luck & Hang in there,
DJ
