I am OBESE! Oh happy day!

OK, I know that doesn't seem like something to be celebrating, but I am ecstatic!  I'm no longer "Morbidly Obese"!  My BMI has officially dropped below 40!  Yay! I don't know about everyone else, but I can still remember the first time I heard that term applied to me; it was devastating!  It just sounds so awful, to think that you are dying from being fat!  For a brief time I was even "Super Obese", with a BMI over 50!  I just read yesterday that "Super Obesity" is also referred to as "Malignant Obesity".  I mean c'mon!  Who comes up with these awful terms?! Well, I am officially in the "Obesity Class Two" stage!  It kind of blows my mind to think that I will never be referred to by a doctor as "Morbidly Obese" again (God willing!) Just think, now that my high blood pressure is gone, my BMI is below 40, and I have less than a hundred pounds to lose, I would no longer qualify for the surgery!  Now that is cool!  Okay, my hormones must be whacked out because I'm getting a little teary!  Whatever!  Love you all!

That is right!  You are forever gone of that nasty little label!  How cool is this surgery?  When I was young I used to fantasize about some magical way to suddenly become skinny.  Well, it's not magical and it's not quite "suddenly", but it is the answer to my prayers!

Congratulations to you too, girl!  I was noticing your BMI yesterday!  You rock!  I agree, I can't wait to be overweight, either!  But I'll settle for "Obesity Class I", which is my next goal!  (29 more pounds, BMI = 34.9) I actually have a chart on the inside of my bathroom mirror where I figured out exactly what I need to weigh to make it to each next level!  What kind of a dork am I?  It's just all too exciting!   We do need to break out that polaroid and take some new pictures!

DeAnna they are really vile words and I would think someone who was not very sensitive in a white lab coat that made them look like the were wearing their daddies lab coat came up with the term! I am really happy for you because it is a really big deal when you pass from one level on the bmi scale to another! Keep up all the hard work as it is paying off in more ways than one! Kisses
