Help

I have Medi-Cal insurance and can not find a surgeon that takes that insurance.  Does anyone out there know any doctors that accept Medi-Cal?

Toldham5,          You are not alone in your quest to find a doctor that will take medi-cal.  I am too, I called the number on the back of my card and the person I spoke to told  me that medi-cal is not contracted with any doctors at this time and that they are in the process of negotiaing with UCLA.  They don't have any idea how long it will take or if UCLA will even contract with them, but they are trying.   They took my number down and told me they would call as soon as they found a doctor.  They also told me that I was not first person to call on this, so hopefully if they know that there are others waiting, it will make them try even harder to get  a contract going with a doctor.  All we can do now is be patient and hope that it happens soon.   When I hear of something, I can let you know if you want, and if you hear of something sooner please let me know.  Since we are in the same situation it would be nice to keep in contact and share information if you would like.                                          cocosmama

Thank you for your help, I have been told UC Davis in Sacramento takes Medi-Cal but are not accepting new patients.  I will let you know if I hear something.  I am starting to get frustrated and ready to give up.
