It was 5 years ago that I was in the operating room and taking charge of my life. It had taken over a year to get to the point of surgery but well worth it. As a single parent I worried about the "what ifs" if something were to happen but something could happen at any point. I lost about 115 lbs over the next year and I am proud to say that I have easily maintained a 100+lb loss since. This year I have decided to focus on toning up, running a marathon and then hopefully a tummy tuck. This is the very best thing I have ever done for myself.

Congrats...We are only two years out, but I pray we have as much success as you in the long run. Good luck with all your plans. Especially the Marathon and the tummy tuck. You deserve it.

Thank you,  The ride is great. I was very fortunate to have no problems. I figure that a tummy tuck is a great reward for keeping the weight off and then hopefully completing the marathon.

Thanks Shells, I just finished my workout with the trainer. So that is a full month of going to the gym regularly. In the past it would have been so easy to give up. I do admit that I whine when my trainer tells me what he wants me to do next but with the exception of one exercise I have been able to do it. Amazing.

Thanks Gus, For a moment on Friday I thought maybe I could "Be Like Gus" and become a trainer. Maybe down the road. What a great way for you to help others. I look forward to hearing more about your routine and music choices. Good luck
