Just some pics I took today.....  I think these are almond trees.  Not sure, but they are gorgeous...the colors range from white to the most beautiful shade of pink... I don't know- I thought some of you may enjoy!

I love that you took these pictures!  As I was walking the dogs today, I thought to myself "I really should take some pictures of all the blossoms, they are beautiful"  I guess great minds think alike! Wonderful pictures, thank you!

I did not know that almonds trees were dressed in red????? heehehehehehehehehe ROTFLI never thought the central valley was ugly. I think you are right about them being almond trees because I know there are a lot of them grown in the CV. Gosh so much is grown there! I think it might be too soon for the fruit trees to bloom like that, but who am I to know....a farm girl I am not!!!!

you know what though?  When we used to come up here for holidays or in the summer, I used to HATE it!!  I thought it was SO ugly up here.  Of course, we were coming at two of the most extreme times of the year up here!

Hey Vicki thanks for sharing those pics... Saturday I was taking a  drive into Modesto and I passed all the beautiful blossems.. I told my oldest daughtet what a beautiful place to take some pics.  She said she wants to be married in an Almond orchard that has blossems...  Its a good thing her father's family owns Almond orchards.. I would hate to see the price that wedding would cost if we had to find an orchard to rent.. ha ha ha.  I have always loved this time of year when the blossoms are in bloom.. its just so beautiful and relaxing for strolls or drives!!  Thanks again for the beautiful pics..

This is my favorite time of year here in CV, with all the nut and fruit trees blooming. The only thing I dislike is the bee population. I always have to remember that epi pen. Thanks for sharing was that on the way to Selma? Hugs, Jenn

Yep, on the way to Selma on Fowler Ave.... and these pictures dont really do it justice- seeing all of the trees together is beautiful.   I plan on getting up to the Blossom Trail sometime soon too! (I think the Fresno Bee had an article about it this past Sunday, but I kind of skimmed over it...)

Hi Vicki, Thanks for the pics. I know how the central valley gets a bad rap, I live in Bakersfield.  Our wildflowers are going crazy. So beautiful. Have a great day. Susan
