HI everyone.  I found this really cool gadget today at Target called the HydraCoach.  It keeps track of the amount of water you have drank.  It is like a water bottle.  I was all excited about it until I got home and realized that you had to drink the water thru a straw like device.  Has anyone here tried using a straw and if so do you get a lot of gas from it???  This thing was $25 so I want to decided if I should take it back or keep it.  It is sooooo coooool though! My Dr. says no straws because he thinks the air might stretch the pouch, but I've met several people with other doctors who are allowed to use straws.  So who knows?!  What a cool device, though!

Cheri, I'd stick to the doc's protocol.

CHERI I'M WITH KATT, FOLLOW EVERY DIRECTION THAT YOUR DR. TELLS YOU.  HE TELLS YOU THESE THINGS FOR A REASON AND BELIEVE ME YOU DON'T WANT TO TEST ANYONE OF HIS REASONS FOR WHY HE SAYS WHAT HE SAYS.  TAKE IT FROM ONE THAT MESSED UP. JUST LISTEN TO HIM AT ALL TIMES. YOU WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER OFF IF YOU DO. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG LIKE YOU START PUTTING ON WEIGHT, THEN HE WILL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU BETTER. I WAS ALSO TOLD NOT TO USE A STRAW. I NEVER DID, BUT I DID TEST THE OLD SUGAR DUMPING THING. OH WHAT A MISTAKE. CONTINUED SUCCESS ON YOUR JOURNEY. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
