antibiotics after bypass

Hi, everyone.  I'm still awaiting insurance approval and trying to make up my mind for sure.  I have the flu and it turned into bronchitis, so I went yesterday and got some zithromax.  I'm allergic to most antibiotics, so my options in medications are limited.  So, here's my questions: Since there is a malabsorption issue with rny, what does your doctor prescribe and how does your stomach deal with it?  I mean, you can't even take certain meds because of ulcer concerns, right?  So, the new zithromax dosage is 4 pills at once.  How would that work with rny? Any thoughts would really be appreciated!  I want to make sure I understand all of the ramifications before making this decision.  :)Michelle ps...if you've had other surgeries (band, ds, etc.), please share, too....
