Hello, I'm 2 days post-op lap-band.  I feel like I have a lump in my throat and need to swallow it down.  Has anyone else felt this after surgery?

I had bypass surgery - but I had the same thing for a few weeks after surgery.  I never found out what it was as it went away by itself.  You might want to call your surgeon just to ask. Cathy C.

More than likely it's from the trach tube they put down your throat during the surgery for breathing while under anesthsia.  But do check with your doctor.

Hi Jeni, I don't know about what's happening with the lump in your throat but I wanted to wish you well and I hope you feel better real soon!  I would definetly call your surgeon.      Roll Get Better!  Jeni

I get that too, with every surgery. It's from being intubated. Mine always feels like I have a chunk of skin hanging there. It'll go away!
