OT Dad Update Friday...

First of all...THANK YOU for your prayers, notes and wishes... it means the world to me and my family. Dad's G-tube (stomach feeding tube) was apparently inserted wrong... so his tummy was filling up with pus (sp?) from an infection...hence, all of the pain that he was in. He and mom spent the whole day at the ER yesterday, and then they admitted him to the hospital overnight for IV antibiotics and to drain the infection. He should go home today and resume radiation treatments on Monday... then, he'll have the tube re-inserted at some point... Sorry to not respond to each of you personally on my last post, but PLEASE know that I read and savored each one... you all are treasures!!

I was away from the computer all day yesterday and am just reading about your dad this morning......OMG!!!

I am so sorry to hear of all his unfortunate medical trials....and have him and your family in my prayers. I hope his infection will clear up quickly and his radiation will go smoothly.

Thanks, Laura, and I know that with your own cancer battles, you really do understand. This all began as skin cancer years ago, and left unchecked, as well as just the insidious nature of cancer, this is the result. bless you, Lori
